The apartment was great with a wonderful room. The living room/kitchen is comfortable and well-equipped. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The situation is great to reach all the most touristic places in Venice, less so if you are looking for a bit of calm. On the minus side, they had no single beds, only double. Also I booked though "Last Minute" and there had been a misunderstanding between Ca Foscolo and them resulting in us getting a 1-bedroom apartment with sofa-bed in the living room instead of the 2 bedroom apartment I booked... That's why its getting only 4 stars.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. What more could one want? It has clean comfortable beds, clean bath, well-stocked kitchen and breakfast items, plenty of room and is well-located near the Rialto Bridge. No elevator might be a problem for some but staff carried our bags up and we needed the exercise.
We traveled with a daughter and granddaughter and loved having the space to visit and eat in. Staff was extremely helpful and provided good information and maps. Restaurant recommendations were good. If we return to Venice, this will be our hotel choice.

If I could give six points for some aspects of this hotel I would...that is a measure of how good we found it to be.

It is absolutely perfect for those on a short stay in Venice and ideal for those with children. We had an apartment with a bedroom with a huge bed in it, together with a sitting room, with a large sofa bed. It was well appointed throughout. The sitting room (pictured) also contained a kitchen. An extensive cold breakfast was provided and replenished each day. It was ideal for us with children as we could take it at our pace and anything we didn't eat at breakfast, could be used for lunch. There was always plenty of variety and was much better than we had expected.

Location was great, being less than 5 mins from the Rialto bridge. There are also good restaurants nearby, our favourite being Mario's. Definitely worth a visit, especially as there is a 'half price' (it's not half price, but that's what it is called) menu which enabled the children to have what they wanted.

Venice overall didn't seem as expensive as we thought, although I think it is probably the rest of the world that is catching up with Venice prices rather than it being cheap!

One slight caution, which didn't affect us, because of the children...there is some work on an adjoining building (drilling, hammering etc), which may mean that sleep beyond around 8am is a bit tricky, but so minor was the disruption as not to be an issue for us.

The two staff that we saw were very helpful too and were able to provide information about what to do and a good map.

Overall, I doubt whether there was a hotel in Venice more suited to our needs and we would strongly recommend it as a place to stay.

The young lady who greeted us upon our arrival was absolutely delightful and very helpful. The hotel is located in a good area that is relatively quiet and centrally located - just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge. We stayed in a two bedroom unit on the fourth floor. We had to climb a lot of stairs (over 80) on two separate staircases to get to our unit, so be aware of that possibility. However, this was not an issue for us as we were very pleased with the accommodations. The shower was quite small, but the rooms were very clean, the a/c units quiet and cool and the kitchen was stocked with basic items. There was plenty of room for our group of three. The unit looked out onto a small square at the entrance to the hotel. This hotel is a very good value and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor and upon entering the building, we knew we had made an excellent choice. The entry foyer is beautiful and speaks volumes for the rest of the property. The young lady on reception was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. When she showed us to our room, with gondolas floating past our windows, all our expectations were surpassed! The apartment was fresh, light, modern, comfortable and spacious (the bedroom was huge), the beds big and comfy and the bathroom new and modern. The complimentary toiletries and personal products provided are their own beauty/ spa range, much nicer than your usual hotel range. The kitchen is new and has everything you need to self cater. While we were surrounded by beautiful restaurants, after travelling for 10 days and eating out every night, we enjoyed walking to the fresh food market and buying delicious fresh food to cook and eating in our lovely apartment. The supplied breakfast is big with cereals, yoghurts, meats, cheese, pastries - more than enough for the 3 of us - and did us for lunch as well. The free wifi worked well and kept our teenage son happy. We arrived from the airport by vaporetto and the apartments are easy to find from Rialto. The location can't be faulted - an easy 5 minute walk to / from Rialto, supermarket, cafes/restaurants and shops are all nearby, and San Marco is about 10 minutes or so. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer.

These comfortable and quaint suites are centrally located to many of the attractions of Venice such as the Rialto Bridge, several reaturants, the grand canal, and Piazza San Marco. The staff was very friendly. The receptionist even knocked on our door before she left to make sure our needs were met. The size of the rooms were big compared to standard european accomodations. My only critiques are that the free breakfast could have been better and the TV in the living room could have been updated (possibly larger too). Outside of that, this is a excellent accomodation for families or couples trying to explore Venice.

I was considering a hotel (family room) or an apartment and were glad that we chosed this apartment. Our apartment No 9 on the ground floor is very spacious with 2 sofas (one can be opened as a comfortable sofa bed for my teenagers) and a large bedroom which can fit a super big king sized bed and ample space for luggage. The bathroom comes with good toiletries including their own range which makes it special. The well equipped kitchen (IKEA style) comes with sugar, oil, salt etc essential for quick cooking.

Breakfast is provided daily prepacked which include salami and meat and is more than enough for four of us.

Location is within 5 minutes or less from Rialto bridge, there is only one bridge that we need to drag our two 20 kg luggage and it is manageable. San Marco is some 15 minutes away. The apartment is located in a quiet square and the windows of our ground floor apartments open to the side canal with passing gondolas. What a wonderful place to stay and enjoy Venice!

Room Tip: Ask for Room No 9 which is on the Ground Floor. There will be no stairs to climb and the room overlo...
