We traveled to this simply brilliant casa for our honeymoon in May 14.
Venice was the last part of our honeymoon and it couldnt have been at a better place to stay.
The place is just brilliant. Cant explain how good it was. The rooms size were HUGE, the bath was HUGE. The amenities available round the clock are amazing. The kitchen is always loaded with the best of nibblings. Susanna and her team was extremely helpful, making our local travel so easy and comfortable. The way they served us breakfast i our room was wonderful. Pampered us with their amazing breakfast. The location of the hotel couldnt be better, it is a minutes walk from Rialto Bridge. Only drawback was the rooms are on the third floor and no elevator. Taking our bags up and down was difficult, though the crew helped us with it.
Even though we were checking out at 4am, Susanna made sure there was breakfast for us at our checkout, which was extremely sweet and kind. The room has very good ventilation.

Room Tip: Our room was by the kitchen, recommend that one.

Just finished my stay at Casa Gottardi.
Best location, next to the rialto bridge. Suzane, was an excellent host. The only drawback is that it is on 3rd floor, but that should not be a problem at all.Breakfast is excellent with a personal touch of Ms Suzane. Highly.Highly recommended

Susanna and her crew were wonderful hosts. We were greeted by Giovanni, who helped us carry our luggage. Yes it was 3 flights up, with no elevator but we knew that going in so it was no problem. Giovanni then gave us maps and excellent tips about where to go, eat and what to see. He was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The next morning we were greeted by Susanna herself with our in suite breakfast, which was delicious. Yogurt, pastries, fruit, juices, ham and cheeses - it was all fantastic. She was the perfect hostess giving us advice and answering all our questions. The room was comfortable and we slept well. It was noisy at night as it is close to all the action but that didn't bother us. Speaking of close to all the action, it was a perfect location. Right near the Rialto and the Rialto stop. We had an in suite bathroom which was great, it was super tiny, but hey... when in Venice....We would recommend to anyone.

We loved our stay at Casa Gottardi! Susanna was so helpful to us during the whole reservation process and very pleasant and accommodating while we were there. Her breakfast was probably one of the best we've every had at a B&B. The location was perfect and the rooms were comfortable. Be ready to walk up some stairs though, so pack light.

We were a family of 8 adults travelling together across Europe. Friends recommended Casa Gottardi to us. It is a very small and personal B and B that is perfectly positioned near the Grande Canal and the Rialto Bridge. Susannah, the owner and host, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Th rooms were lovely, clean, spacious and quiet. The breakfast, served in the rooms of fresh fruit and pastries and more then enough for all. We loved staying at Casa Gottardi. If you enjoy a more personal experience with the locals then this place is fabulous.

Finding a good place to stay in Venice that won't break the bank is hard but, luckily, Susanna comes through! We had a fantastic stay. There were three of us and the room was a great size. There was AC in the room which was great for those hot June nights. The location near the Rialto bridge is perfect for exploring Venice. Susanna was friendly and very helpful. The best thing? People, that BREAKFAST. People have already uploaded pictures but there's no words for how huge and wonderful it is. We felt so wonderfully spoiled with our cappuccinos, fresh fruit, croissants and more. The only negative would be that there's not always someone around if you need something. I would highly recommend Casa Gottardi!

I'm so pleased we found this lovely place to kick off our Italy trip this year. Susanna was great emailing us directions and checking when we were arriving. It was easy to find and we got a great reception. Susanna's son (Gio? Sorry, my memory for names isn't great) helped us up the 3 flights with our cases which was a relief. He then gave us tips for lots of great places to visit, directions on how to get around and took our order for breakfast.

The room itself was lovely, the AC was really powerful (great for my constantly too warm husband), the bathroom was great. We were in the family room, so there was loads of space. The bed wasn't a double but two singles pushed together which was our only slight gripe.

Otherwise, we had a lovely time. The breakfast came at the times requested each day and was absolutely delicious. I love the little venetian biscuits and the croissants filled with marmalade were marvellous.

We had our own keys so could come and go as we pleased. We were 3rd floor so it was really quiet and we couldn't get lost - follow signs to the Rialto. I had a surprise organised for my husband's birthday while we were there and they called and spoke to Susanna and she helped us find the right places to get picked up on time.

Overall, we were delighted with the stay and cannot recommend this place highly enough. And we were absolutely thrilled at the price compared to bigger places in the same area. There's only 3 rooms though, so get yourself booked here early, you don't want to miss out.
