Stayed here 3 nights with some friends, 3 of us in two rooms. The location is excellent, close to Piazza San Marco, the Rialto bridge and La Fenice, not far from the Accademia. At the end of a quiet calle, my room was tiny, but being a single traveler I'm used to that. My friends' room was just a tad bigger. The furniture was a bit worn, and I did not have a TV, but the bed was comfortable. Valentina and Stefano were both very helpful with directions. The breakfast was served in a cozy breakfast room and consisted of typical fare: hard-boiled eggs, croissants, meat, cheese, rolls, fruit, yogurt and cereal - but only grapefruit juice! (not my favorite). I would stay here again mainly due to the location.

Room Tip: There are several rooms without a private bath so be sure to reserve one with an en suite, as we did...

EXCELLENT location in the nest of the city, warm welcome, very comfortable, I found that place most enjoyable, I have no restriction. The location is particularly mysterious, in a dead-end street, protected from noise. Great calm at night.

This was my favorite hotel of our two week adventure thru Europe. It's a boutique hotel full of charm. The owners personally communicated with us a few times prior to our stay, and were very accommodating to check us in late when our travels lasted a little longer then anticipated- she even had recommendations on where to get a good meal. Our room was right off of the kitchen, which didn't lend a lot of privacy, but we were of the mindset of staying with a friend rather than at a hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The location was great...just a few minutes walk to St. Marks square or the Rialto bridge (and in turn the water taxi). Fun to watch and hear the gondolas go by outside our window in the evenings. If we came to Venice again, I wouldn't even look at a different place to stay.

We had an amazing time in Venice, capped off by the wonderful accommodations at Casa Petrarca. What a gem of a hotel. Fantastic location. Both Stefano and Valentina were great to deal with; warm, helpful and informative! The breakfast was plentiful and was a great way to start the day. Definitely book the larger room if you can. It has an awesome view of the canal and lovely Venice streets. We can't wait to return!

The bed was comfortable, location is great and the light breakfast is also very nice. But we didn't get the room we booked and the attitude of the man we dealt with, left a bad impression. He promised to fix it the the next day and we never saw him again.

Room Tip: Request to NOT be put in room 5 unless you are travelling solo. We booked a room with 2 single beds...

This was our favorite hotel in our 10 days in Italy. It is a stones throw from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, but it is also hidden away on a quiet side street. This might make it hard to find without GPS. Our room was surprisingly large for Italy, and it had a wonderful canal view. The owners, Stephano and Valantina, were very helpful and available to answer questions. Rica was very friendly and prepared a great breakfast and coffee each morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to go back tomorrow.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for several reasons. First off, Valentina makes you feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. She gave us easy to follow directions to find her place, which in Venice is no small feat. The hotel is located almost exactly between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's square, so no complaints there. It's on a quiet little side street with no through traffic. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the windows opened on to a canal, with gondolas floating by frequently. It was lovely. And last but not least, Venice was HOT when we visited, but the air conditioning in the room made for a comfortable refuge.
