As soon as they received our booking they sent us an email with instructions on how to arrive and asked when we expected to arrive so we found them with no trouble at all and they were waiting for us. They are conveniently located in a very centric area within short walking distance to the main sights and shopping areas. Very friendly reception, besides the keys so we could come and go freely, we were given a map and invited to peruse and use some guides and other books on Venice as well as offered a welcome drink. The room was very spacious and clean, it looked onto an attractive inner courtyard (most of the rooms look onto a canal) and had a minifridge neverita (y una botella de agua de regalo). The shower stall was a comfortable size and the bed nice and firm. Nice breakfast and excellent coffee. The only thing that might inconvenience people who have mobility problems or very heavy luggage is that you have to go up a good flight of stairs to reach the B&B. It did not bother us but is something to be aware of. All in all we had a great stay and would certainly stay there again.

Nice place, very clean and spotless room and bathroom. Comfortable and spacious and very conveniently located to the centre. Just a 5 minute walk to San Marco square through streets lined with all the designer shops. There are also a couple of small convenience stores located next to it too in case you need anything. Breakfast was ok. I would only make two negative comments - the room wasn't very warm and the B&B itself is not very easy to find as there is no outside sign you will have to ask the locals where it is exactly.

A friend and I stayed here for 4 nights in November. We had no trouble finding the place, but our buzzer went unanswered. We found a calling card & phone and called but there was no answer. After a little while we buzzed another "Zaguri" and found they had been home all along *so buzz Zaguri... NOT Zaguiri B&B...*

Mario was welcoming, providing a map and hints. Very central location. He also welcomed us with persecco & peach juice as well as chocolates and chips. A sweet touch.

The room and bathroom were large and clean. However the pillows are extremely flat- we had to stuff the decorative pillows under to have it decent enough to sleep.

Other hired staff run the breakfast in the morning and paymets. Otherwise you dont see the owners. The main reason I only rated Zaguri as average is due to the minimum standards met. Yes, large and clean rooms, but breakfast was (what felt like) stale bread. Crackers. Hard boiled eggs and pre-packages croissants. Toast if you were lucky to hit a time when it was fresh.

The only issue is for what you get, its a little overpriced compared to the B&Bs we've stayed at and received amazing service.

My teenaged daughter and I stayed 3 nights in April. Directions from website were exact, so finding it was no problem. The dark, narrow alley leading from the vaporetto stop to Campo Santa Maria del Giglio was somewhat daunting, but we made a point of not having to traverse it at night. They asked to be paid in cash, which made finding an ATM immediately upon arrival a priority. Because the ATM daily limit wouldn’t allow us to withdraw enough to cover the whole stay, they let us pay the first night on checkin, and the balance the next day. The ladies at breakfast and the desk were very pleasant and helpful, and provided us with an excellent map. We were also given four different keys to get though all the doors to our street-level room. Not really a problem unless you don’t like having to carry things.
Location is excellent, only about a 10-minute walk (with roller-bags) from the vaporetto and another 10-minute walk from Piazza San Marco. There was a little shop right across the street that served good pizza and focaccia sandwiches either at a couple of small tables or for take-away. They even served wine in plastic cups for take-away.
The room was spacious and clean and equipped with a mini-fridge. The only drawback was that the bed was hard and the pillows extremely flat - we folded them in half, but they were still thin. The ensuite bathroom was a reasonable size, but the shower was barely big enough to turn around (very carefully). We also never managed to get the wireless internet connection to work, but we didn’t need it badly enough to enquire.
Breakfast was pre-packaged croissants (cornu), fresh warm hard rolls with jelly, soft cheese or nutella to spread on them, hard-boiled eggs, cheese and orange juice. On our last morning, we asked for a “cold breakfast” in our room, so we could make the early train before breakfast was normally served at 8:30. The cold breakfast was delivered to our room the night before, with eggs and boxes of peach and pear juice kept cold in the fridge.
Venice, in general, is expensive, since it is an island and everything must be brought in from the mainland (like Hawaii). We asked about a grocery, since buying bottled water at food stalls was expensive, and the helpful staff informed us that the only one was on another island, and about a 30-minute walk from the vaporetto stop, which didn’t seem worth the effort to haul bottles of water. This B&B is a nice compromise between being close to everything and the expense of staying in Piazza San Marco – if you like a very firm bed.
Final tips – we timed our visit to avoid the full or new moon, just to eliminate any hassle with flooding in Piazza San Marco. We did see the temporary sidewalks stacked up ready for use. Also, we observed several dogs to peeing off the bridges into the canals, so beware if you’re on a gondola ride going under bridges.

We stayed in Venice for a couple of days at the beginning of July and the weather was hot and humid. We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very helpful and the written directions we were given before arriving were excellent. We would not have found the hotel without these instructions. We had a room on the first floor, for a family of 4. It backed into the office, which was a little noisy in the morning, but this was not a problem. The beds were comfortable and the free wi-fi was very good. The location was excellent. The only complaint would be the portable air conditioner in our room. It required to have the window open and closing the heavy drapes helped alittle, but we could not cool the room down and we had the noisy air con on all night. Breakfast was simple, but nice.

Room Tip: make sure the room has a built in air conditioner

I selected Zaguri after reading the reviews on trip advisor and we weren't disappointed. The welcome was warm with some great hints and tips to make the most of our visit. This continued throughout our stay and although we were offered the chance to leave our bags at th ehotel on departure we realised the regatta storica would leave us and our bags stranded with no vaporetti running. A few minutes later we had printouts of the revised vaporetto schedule, details of the left luggage facility at the station and hints on where to watch the regatta from - true service! The room overlooked the side canal and was large and spacious with a fan and free-standing ac. The bed was firm as mentioned in some reviews which may not suit everyone but we slept soundly every night. The central location was ideal and made changing for dinner, or afternoon siestas very easy! All in all, a real gem and one we plan to visit again - I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Venice.
