“Amazing find in Venice!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

I'm still shaking my head over some of the critical reviews I've been reading of this place. My husband and I ate here on our last night in Venice, and it was spectacular! We had a ravioli appetizer followed by the sea bass, which was cooked to perfection. This is not a restaurant you'll just stumble upon. It's kind of out of the way and hard to find, but it was definitely worth every penny. (This is a particularly good option for people staying at the Hotel Al Piave, since it's practically next door.)

“Expensive Bad Food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

We had our lunch here because all the good restaurants recommended to us in our area were closed at 16:00. This one looked really nice and inviting so we went in thinking you can't really have bad food in Italy. Big mistake. We paid €70 for 3 main meals, 3 soft drinks and a bowl of salad and we could not even finish or food. The grilled squids were not properly cooked neither did they taste well and the Venetian style liver was bland and seemed to have been boiled with some chunky-cut onion rather than grilled or fried! My daughters carbonara was ok but there was too much garlic in it. Although my husband and I actually ended up sharing her leftover pasta between us because we did not really like our own food.

“Good Food, well served!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014

we had a great meal here. we had mixed cold meats to start, I then had lasagne and my friend had gnocchi, then we had calamari and chips... how British "fish and Chips" the whole meal was superb, the staff are friendly and the prices are good.

“A find to be remembered in Venice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2014

This was an excellent find in the many alley ways if Venice, a traditional establishment providing excellent meals, with staff who can look at first glance to be intimating, but are very cooperative, friendly and welcoming.
Each meal coming out of the kitchen was reviewed by the owner for content and presentation before being served to the customer, which was a nice touched, some were rejected prior to serving.

“Beautiful quaint restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2014 via mobile

We were invited in by the owner's brother (not too pushy like some places) with the promise of great food & a free drink & that's exactly what we got. Lovely decor, ambience, food & wine. The set menu is reasonably priced for Venice. Would definitely recommend, we had a lovely evening.
