Hotel alla fava is an excellent choice for an escape in Venice.
Location is perfect, at the heart of Venice, the staff is great, polite and ready to be of help, nice breakfast , great and really clean rooms, at least the one we stayed for 4 persons with a canal view.
A really good budget choice.
Thank you Hotel alla fava!

Stayed here with my partner to celebrate her birthday, booked online and upgraded to double with en suite and canal view. We was apprehensive with booking at a 2 star rated hotel but it was brilliant. We was greeted by a young extremely friendly receptionist who spoke fantastic English and had great knowledge of Venice, rooms are very clean breakfast is continental but enough, booking is highly recommended.

We arrived late on a national holiday but had no problems finding it after following the detailed directions the hotel had emailed to me. Check in was efficient and the man on reception showed us to our room which was small but adequate. Breakfast was a larger spread than most we saw in Italy with croissants, bread, rolls, cold cuts, cheese, omelette, yogurt and fruit. The location of the hotel is fantastic, only a two minute walk to the Rialto. This is a good budget choice if you want to stay in central Venice.

Thank you to the wonderful staff of this hotel who each day could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The rooms are clean & location is close to all the must see places of venice. On the last day the staff surprised us with a cake & bottlw of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon. Although not expected it was greatly appreciated and just adds to the memories made in venice

Good hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Ideal location close to Rialto Bridge. Had room with canal view which was nice. Hotels are expensive in Venice which meant that I found £140 per night steep and although the hotel was good I would have at least expected tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Its difficult because I dont have a bench mark in Venice.
A real drawback is the size of the breakfast room which only had 4 tables each table seating 2 people - queue develops if not down before 8am. We ended up being down by 7.30am to make sure we got early start.
If I go back we'll have to check out a different hotel in an effort to get better value! Bathroom also tiny and no where to put stuff.....overall not bad but plenty of room for improvement!

Dear Lorraine,

Thank you very much for your feedback.

We understand how the size of the breakfast room can cause some inconveniences and we apologize for this. However, we try to make up for this flaw by focusing on variety and quality, in order to provide a good breakfast experience to our guests.

We’d like to thank you for your words of appreciation for our staff, we are always doing our best to help our guests make the most of their stay in our beautiful city.

Have a great day!

Kind regards,

It was a great hotel. The receptionist Paolo en Luca were very helpfull and had some great tips about Venice. The rooms were neat and comfortable en breakfast was tasty. The best thing is that you have a lot of freedom and there is not a strict policy. If you go to Venice, this is place has a good quality/price rate.

We had a room overlooking the canal and indeed it does get a bit noisy when the morning deliveries get under way, but not unduly so, and is quite fascinating to watch in any case. It is also amusing to listen to the commentaries coming from gondoliers as they go by...the buildings around were described in many differing ways...
The room was huge, with two very tall windows, and a floor which sloped so alarmingly the enormous wardrobe had wedges under the front legs to stop it falling over. The door into the room had been similarly bespoke-shaped in order to compensate for the angle. All great fun and quirky.
Breakfast room is minute, but the fare more than adequate, although some more fresh fruit would have been pleasing...the Rialto market is not far away, after all!

A fantastic location...easily found from the water bus stop at the Rialto and, of course, within easy walking distance of every part of Venice. We explored thoroughly for our four day stay...and it was nowhere near long enough. We want to return again and would have no hesitation of returning to this lovely hotel with its friendly and helpful staff.

Thank Alec D
