Beautifully maintained and restored palazzo with a great Grand Canal location. The price for our expansive two bedroom suite was a good value. It was very serene, which is a plus during the crowded high season. Though they probably had a full house, it was very quiet. We would have enjoyed a more welcoming lobby area with comfortable seating and a communal feel. We were in and out during our stay - mostly out - and did not require or request much from the front desk, but the little interaction we did have was curt and perfunctory, and at one point, slightly defensive. (I had approached the desk after check-in to comment on the beautiful room, and the clerk's demeanor suggested that she saw a complaint coming her way.) No one particularly went out of their way to make us feel welcome, but we didn't mind. Those seeking gracious and solicitous service might be a tad disappointed, but the accommodations and breakfast make up for any lack in this area.

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate her Birthday. We arrived and departed by water taxi from the airport which lands at the hotels private jetty to be met by a porter who takes care of the bags. Check in was smooth and we were soon in our room. We were on the 4th floor in a fantastically appointed room. We had a small terrace where you could look out over the rooftops. Room was quiet which we loved.
Breakfast was a good selection of continental and American which you find in a lot of hotels. Service was very friendly and efficient. The room for breakfast is on the second floor and wow the room is spectacular.
We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but instead went outside to a local Resturant which was good. We did use the bar which was expensive in comparison to other restaurants nearby but sitting on the outside terrace you had the best view in Venice (worth the extra in my opinion).
The hotel is within walking distance of all of the sights and reception provided a map. One word of warning is its easy to get lost but at the same time a friendly local will be on hand to point you in the right direction. You will need the map though.
Gondola's are available by the hotel (fixed price E80 for up to 6 people for 40 mins in the day). The chap we had provided some interesting facts and to be fair wasn't a bad singer either :-).
Venice itself WOW what a destination. We couldn't have chosen a better place. We booked everything through British Airways holidays and were happy with everything.

Wow! Fantastic hotel!! I'm usually very picky with my hotels but the Ca Sagredo was rare find! Art deco style hotel with amazing ceiling paintings gives the hotel that WOW factor!

The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were spacious as well, We had our breakfast included which was really nice and the service in the breakfast area was great as well and by the second day they knew our preferences so it had a true 5 star feel. We arrived at the hotel 11am and the check in isn't until about 3 pm but the front desk staff were courteous enough to handle our luggage and had the room ready in a flash while me and my wife went for a stroll. The hotel is literally 5-10 min from Rialto Bridge and about 15min walk from St. Mark's square which were both amazing. The only thing I found about Venice though was that it literally shuts down around 9pm and after that it kind of becomes a ghost town...so I would suggest early morning starts so you're ready for bed around 9-10 pm as there is nothing late night there.

All in all a fantastic experience and the hotel was truly memorable and If I ever went back to Venice I would stay at the Ca Sagredo!

Beautiful hotel, stunning large rooms with amazing palatial decor and Venetian charm. The staff were friendly and helpful. The setting was gorgeous right on the front of the Grand Canal within easy reach of all the top attractions. It is very clean and well maintained. It is pricey but you only live once!

Room Tip: Try a suite room, unbelievable!

This is a good hotel, nicely situated on the Grand Canal. I purchased a package from LL, which included “Welcome cocktails and canapés” served on the terrace. We each had a glass of Prosecco and were served a bowl of crackers which can only be described as human doggie cookies as our ‘canapés”. When I complained that they were inedible, they brought us a nice bowl of potato chips (canapés??). Our room was nice, and although categorized as a Sagredo Junior Suite, it was a bit like a basement suite with 1 small, high window overlooking roof-tops. The suite’s salvation however was a roof top deck, the only one I believe at the hotel. This was spectacular, and viewed all of Venice, the canals, etc.
The breakfast was average, displaying cheap plastic container yogurt. The fruit was nice, and there was a very small selection of cold meat and cheese. The hot entrees were unpalatable. The lobby is unremarkable for a Palazzo, but despite previous reviews criticizing staff we found them helpful and polite. We ordered a bucket of ice one afternoon, it never materialized. The internet was 50/50, and we often tapped into the internet from the adjacent hotel to check our email, etc. The common spaces, while lovely, are unused and largely empty. I have been to Venice twice now, and would not return to either hotel, as I was unimpressed in this impressive city. I am aware that Venice is expensive, and rightly so, however do not believe this hotel, which I can describe as Good and Nice, is worth the $$$.

The hotel is well situated, and you can walk to the Vaporetto stop for best Burano / Murano access within 5 minutes, the Rialto Bridge and even St. Marks Square (further, of course). The bathroom was functional, the bed very comfortable, although the room was hot and we slept with the window and door to roof balcony wide open.

The location, the architecture, the palace, makes you feel like a prince. But when you are a prince you deserve a great service. Here, you have everything but an immaculate service, in your room, in general. This is a shame for a place like this. I had a wonderful suite, maybe the best one, but the lack of service, like an immaculate bathroom, change of bath soap, no glasses in the bar, ....... was a bit awkward in this kind of 5 stars hotel, even if the Italian rating is by far different than the US or the French.
But I had a Tiepolo above my head in the breakfast room !

Dear Guest,
we thank you for your stay at Ca’ Sagredo and we would like to remind you that we did an upgrade, as you booked a Sagredo Junior Suite and you stayed in one of our top Historical Suite: the Sebastiano Ricci Suite with stucco works dated 17th and 18th Century.
We regret to inform you that the bathroom of your room was redone six months ago. Concerning the glasses we do apologize if you did not had enough glasses in the minibar.
We really think the Italian rating is not below the US or French rating, and we do not agree are”far different” from other ratings. You had not only a Tiepolo in the breakfast room but a Sebastiano Ricci on your ceiling bedroom, a Giambattista Tiepolo and a Nicolò Bambini in your breakfast rooms, and other important artists such as Andrea Urbani, Diziani, Pietro Longhi in the Noble Floor.
We also recalled for the document you forgot at the lobby and we promptly provided to send it to you … but this part of the service you probably forgot.
