We did the "trifecta" (Rome/Florence/Venice) on our first visit to Italy, and this hotel in Venice did not disappoint. A beautiful palace with well-furnished and classy looking rooms. Breakfast was very good, served in one of the hotel's ornate spaces. A courteous and helpful staff was always looking to be of assistance. Close proximity to the vaporetto.

We just came back from a three week family trip to Italy and was so fortunate to spend 4 nights at this wonderful hotel. I had read some mixed reviews on trip advisor but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is beautiful and the location is fantastic. We had a room on the Grand Canal and to open the shutters each morning to that view is simply breathtaking. When the windows, shutters and blinds are closed the rooms are pitch black and silent. Once you open your windows you hear the noises from below of gondolas going back and forth and water taxis. This was wonderful! The breakfast was very good with many options and the staff were impeccable. We took private water taxis to go back and forth and although expensive we loved every minute. Please take the trip out to the island of Burano. We skipped Murano and almost skipped Burano as it doesn't get great reviews. This was such a lovely day for us. The island was small but much busier than I had expected. Lots of gift stores and restaurants but the colored houses are just so charming. We were so glad we visited. One of the best meals of our entire vacation we had a Oliva Nera. Not easy to find but the most wonderful food. My daughter is still talking about the lasagna!

Room Tip: If you can afford a Grand Canal Room go for it!

Finishing up a two week trip to Italy, we stayed three nights at Ca'Segredo. We typically don't stay in "old school" design hotels, but this one didn't disappoint. The hotel staff was helpful with arranging our transfer from the car park, which is worth the expense. The hotel is centrally located, so it's a quick walk to pretty much anywhere, and you get to avoid the multitude of day-trippers (no offense) in the St. Mark's area. We highly recommend springing for a Grand Canal room. Opening the windows and just looking was one of our favorite activities. Every time they hotel called us a water taxi, we waited no more than five minutes. Room service is great, and the a/c was strong enough to make two Texans chilly (which we wanted).

Room Tip: Get a Grand Canal view room. Venice is already expensive, so just go with it.

Beautiful hotel in an old palace with all modern amenities. Staff was amazingly helpful, especially Lisa, who was extremely helpful in correcting a travel mishap we had. Hotel was conveniently located for us between San Marco Square/Rialto Bridge and the Ghetto. Decor was a bit dated, but I understand that most five star hotels in Venice are decorated like that. Water taxi stop is directly in front of hotel. If I was in Venice again (which I doubt, as the crowds are just too much to deal with), I would repeat.

What a fantastic hotel. Location to die for and fantastic service. I bought this trip blind at a charity auction so had no idea what we were getting but it didn't disappoint. This is a palace, so it's a blend of old and grand but then very well appointed rooms. Our room had a canal views and was beautiful. A separate sitting area and small terrace ( not on canal). Breakfast was in a beautiful grand space and was excellent quality. We also had dinner, restaurant was a little quiet but it was January. The service was fantastic and the waiter talked to us a lot about the city and his experiences which was great - went to a fabulous cheap back street bar for €2 glasses of wine.

I have visited Venice 7 times, always staying near San Marco Square. We chose to stay this time at this outstanding hotel to be closer to the Rialto Bridge and train station to take a day trip to Verona. The location was so great because it was not as heavily trafficked and it was magnificent. The breakfast was very good, the
hotel was charming, and Michele at the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant to assist in any way he could.
This hotel deserves the highest rating. It is spectacular.

This visit of 4 nights was the second time for us in Ca Sagredo (last visit in May 2013). The royal service and attention given to us last year was surpassed this year. We stayed in the same suite, Sebastiano Ricci Suite, which is a palatial size suite and immaculately maintained and serviced. The hotel is centrally located and everything is within walking distance, but not on the main thoroughfare. We thought we would use the vaparetto so we bought a 4 day pass for 2 people (70 euros), but we only used it twice since we walked everywhere. The service provided was very special. The hotel made reservations for us in restaurants we wanted to try, and fruits and treats were left in our room. We also had complimentary drinks and canapés in their lounge. (The prosciutto melted in your mouth...delicious.) We did not have breakfast in the hotel this time as there are so many cafés right outside the door. The room was beautiful; the hotel is stunningly majestic; and the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back when the opportunity arises. Grazie Mille for a wonderful return trip!
