Was a nice stay. I'm not overly a fan of "older" style interior decorating...but the "classic" Venetian experience was fun to do. The customer service at this hotel was perfect I must say. I literally can not find any fault with the service with all staff. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We stayed in a Junior Suite and it was about 180, which I would consider a very good value by european hotel standards. The location is also very nice being pretty central in venice and on the grand canal. One little nice touch is the complimentary jugs of teas & water in the main halls available any time of day. Overall good experience if you are looking for the "Venetian" "Palazzo" experience.

Ca' Sagredo hotel exceeded our expectations. A stunning building , very friendly and helpful staff and exceptional standards of housekeeping all helped to make this a memorable holiday base. A quiet location next to the grand canal but very convenient for sightseeing and restaurants. Being english we would request tea making facilities next time we visit! We look forward to staying again.

Dear Guest,

Thank you on behalf of all the Staff at Ca' Sagredo for your words of appreciation. This is very important to us. We're all looking forward to welcoming you again.
Just for your information, an Italian Safety Law does not allow to have tea/coffee making facilities and iron in the rooms. Moreover Ca' Sagredo is a National Monument.

Kindest Regards,
Ca' Sagredo Hotel

I travel often and for me, this is certainly is one of the finest hotels in the world.
I visited Venice and stayed here for a few days with my parents.
From the moment we arrived a warm welcom ..until our 5 am departure .. with cappuccinos in hand .. the staff was fantastic! A beautiful property, this gracious and comfortable 16th century palace, tastefully renovated was a marvelous experience.
Wonderful large rooms, a spectacular view from some .. quiet and immaculate.
I will never stay anyplace else in Venice!!!

We have been visiting Venice for over 20 years and have stayed everywhere from the Gritti to the latest modern boutique B&B but in Ca'Sagredo, which was recommended to us by friends who are Venetian regulars, we have found the perfect hotel for our visits to Venice.

The hotel is a little pink palace on the Grand Canal. It has only 42 rooms (small by Venetian standards) and not only is it beautifully decorated but it contains some astonishing painted ceilings by renowned artists such as Tiepolo and other original art works. The ballroom is breathtaking.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms gorgeous and the beds divinely comfortable.

If you want a very special stay in Venice then this is the place for you. Prices are very good for such quality in a very expensive city!

My wife and I were already in Venice when we decided to book this hotel while in a cafe nearby. We booked a junior suite at a very good price, and after booking we walked straight to the hotel and they welcomed us with open arms. They did not have the room we booked so upgraded us to the presidential suite at no extra cost. We were taken to our room and it was amazing! We settled in before calling reception to book for evening meal and they arranged everything for us and we were not disappointed, the restaurant was amazing, the staff attention to detail was immaculate and I would say was one of the best meals we had eaten in the 3 weeks we were in Italy! The chef took time out to come and see us at our table and took our desert order personally.
This hotel was amazing and my wife and I will be returning for our first anniversary without doubt, (probably won't be able to afford the presidential suite) this stay made our honeymoon, we have already recommended this hotel to several friends.

It was my second trip to Venice and this time we opted to stay away from San Marco Square. We decided on the Ca Sagredo and were very happy with our choice. It is a 15 minute walk to San Marco or a few picturesque vaporetto stops away. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Don't look for pancakes and waffles or anything heavy that we like here, but there is plenty to fill you up. We got a bit confused navigating around the hotel. It's not that big there are just a few different ways to get around, but we laughed at every wrong turn. The place is easy to find. Take the vaporetto to Ca D'oro, walk down the alley, turn right, walk to the first small square where the charming gentleman is painting and it is the last door on the right or glide up in a taxi water taxi. There are a number of restaurants nearby in all price ranges. We enjoyed Vini da Gigio (sp?) and could resist posing in front of McDonalds. First timers may want to stay closer to the action. If that is not important to you I definitely recommend it.
Pros: - location
- decor
- very friendly staff
-close to vaporetto stop
cons: - location - not as close to San Marco square as other hotels. If that is important
than you may not enjoy it.

Terribly overpriced. This is more of a 3 star hotel with 2 star service. Not worth it period. If you like rude service and being robbed then stay here. First the room we were given was not what we paid for (was to be a junior premier suite) priced at over $500. we were given a room with a view of the AC unit ducts. and barely enough room to move around in. Ask the concierge to call a restaurant da fiore for a reservation and he tells us they are booked and recommends another up the road. well not trusting the Italian- i called myself from cell 5 min later and got a table. Ask them for timetable and how to get to airport early in am and they had no clue so at 130 am i had to run outside and look at water taxi schedule and use my internet data plan to get timetables for bus. Of course you can take a water taxi (private-their recommendation) for $100 euros but beware the concierge wanted to charge me $120-and note you will have to walk 8 min to get to airport. There are many nice hotels in venice this is not one of them and would only choose as last resort ie: all else under water. AND BTW no rooms have a view of the canal.
