This was the first euro hotel my partner and I had stayed at. We were blown away by Venice but at first not so much by al gobbo. We were unaware that passports would be taken and copied at first and seemed to get off on the wrong foot with Alessandro. After this we were excitedly shown our room which was a basic double with sink... and a bidet (I soon learned what this was for). We were shown all other facilities such as the shared toilet and bathroom.
Once we explored Venice we recognized the prime location of the hotel, close enough to cheap eateries, markets, bus terminal and the water buses and not too far a walk from the major sights.
After a long day of exploring, the bed was comfortable enough for a decent nights sleep. We then woke to have a shower in the shared bathroom (near reception mind you) and then had our supplied breakfast consisting of croissants, breads and coffee.
Alessandro and I soon became friendly and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap hotel to lay your head at night (and to discover what a bidet is for)More
