I was travelling with a party of 6 ladies. We rented the Accademia Grande apartment, because it had lots of room (supposed to sleep 9), plus two bathrooms. When we arrived, however, we found that several of the beds had no linens. We called the rental agent who said she would get back with us. She eventually left a text message saying we were not allowed any more linens. She then turned off her phone and refused to answer any more calls. We were forced to double up, and got very little sleep due to the small size of the beds and the snoring of the ones we were forced to sleep with. The sheets were clean, but the rest of the bed blankets and coverlets were very dirty. YUK. We also were only allowed one towel per person the entire stay. The rest were literally locked up!
Also, the front door lock was nearly impossible to open, and we were stuck outside for quite some time. When we asked a neighbor for help, we were told that this always happens. I had to find some Vaseline to put in the lock to make it work. It still was very difficult to open, and we always had to spend alot of time trying to get in. Of course, we still could not contact the agent, because she never answered our calls.
I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. It was very expensive, and the service was terrible. I can overlook alot, but the agent was rude the one time I spoke with her, and then unavailable the rest of the time. If you want a good apartment in Venice, contact Carlo at www.wenicevenice.com.
