This apartment in Venice was awesome. The location was great. There were cafes and stores within a 100 yards of the apartment to get coffee and pasties for breakfast, snacks for the kids and sit and enjoy wine and a meal with the beautiful ambiance of Venice. People actually stop outside to take pictures of the apartment because two walls of the apartment are on the canal. Truly picturesque. The views from the apartment were awesome, truly Venice. It was cozy for a family of four. You pretty much hung out in your bedrooms when at the apartment because there really wasn't a big enough area to hang out for the four of us in the kitchen/living room. This apartment provided a great Venice experience.
I would highly recommend this airbnb. It was in a residential area, off the beaten path but very close to train station and grand canal.
A truly authentic stay in Venice. This apartment felt so Venetian, the position is right next to a canal and bridge, in fact the windows open onto them. The location is so handy for arrival, cafes (especially the nearest one to the apartment that serves gorgeous pastries for breakfast and freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee, you can sit outside and admire the view) and restaurants all close by. All the sightseeing can be found within a 30 minute walk so long as you don’t get lost meandering around all the beautiful streets, I don’t think we ever came back to the apartment the same way! It is a very quiet at night and we slept well. Valentina gave us a wonderful friendly welcome, showed us how everything worked and provided us with a map and lots of recommendations for our stay. Just a few recommendations, a mirror in the twin bedroom would be helpful, an air freshener in the kitchen to overcome a drain smell which I suppose can’t be helped in Venice, and a touch up of paint on the bathroom ceiling due to condensation. I would highly recommend this apartment.
The apartment is very easy to reach from the train station or from Piazzale Roma, just a 5 minutes walk, but it perfect to reach every part of the city by walking (Rialto 10 minutes, San Marco 25 minutes, Accademia bridge 15 minutes...). The apartment is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a great stay. Beautiful and romantic canal view from the master bedroom, excellent restaurants, cafè, pubs and wine seller nearby. Very quiet in the evening. I definitely would recommend this house to my friends and everyone who's looking for a great stay in Venice.
This apartment has two very roomy bedrooms - both with views of the canal - a reasonably sized living/kitchen and an adequately sized bathroom. There are plenty of facilities for food preparation in the kitchen (none of which were used). There is air conditioning in the main bedroom and the living area, but none in the second bedroom (this is on the shaded side and cooler) Beds are very comfortable and there is masses of storage space in both bedrooms. The area is relatively quiet, with the occassional sound of a boat passing by.
Access to the vaporetto stops on the Grand Canal is relatively close by (5-10mins walk) and there a number of good places to eat close at hand. There is also a cafe very close for breakfasts if required. Supermarket is also only a couple of mins away.
The operating company met us and took us to the apartment and explained all that was necessary. They were extremely good when we were there when some assistance was required.
