great location over looking the canal. food was below average and prices were somewhat high for the quality of food. would not recommend for dining or drinks. maybe a coffee and dessert because of the location, but we tried neither so I cant comment on quality

Staying at the Hotel Marconi, there was a heavy thunderstorm, so had a meal here as it was right outside of the hotel.

Staff friendly enough but the manager looked a bit stand offish. Good menu but expensive. Had the cheapest bottle of wine at 26 euros, Scallops and smoked salmon for starters which were good and then scampi fritti and scampi and calamari fritti as main courses with one portion of mixed veg. All quite acceptable but nothing special. Two desserts and a bottle of water total bill was 152 euros which included 12% service. Waiter also tried to get us to leave a tip as well - no way!

Had it not been raining so much we wouldn't have come here and won't return because of the cost. Great position though overlooking the Grand Canal.

I ordered one of the tourist menus, priced at 24 Euros and had a great meal. The appetizer was salmon and small shrimp, in a beautiful presentation. The main was veal in a light white sauce with roasted potatoes and artichokes, and dessert was assorted biscotti. With a glass of white wine, bottle of fizzy water and coffee, the total came to 41 Euros, including the tip. I consider this a good value in an expensive city--remember everything comes in by boat and hand cart. The location, outdoor seating right on the Grand Canal and within sight of the Rialto Bridge, must also be taken into consideration price-wise.

If we had looked at Tripadvisor before going, we would never have gone to this restaurant, but thank goodness we did go. Whilst we would never want to criticise anyone's review, our experience was absolutely brilliant, and we can be fussy, trust me.

The service was good, very attentive and not too over the top. The food was well prepared, and served promptly. Yes it wasn't the best I have had, but very pleasant and was half the price I paid the night before which I didn't like.

The cost of the Wine was good as well and we didn't feel as though we were getting ripped off!
You can see from the menu that this isn't the poshest place on early, but the food was well presented, tasted fine and the general atmosphere was lovely.

We realise different people have different expectations and views, but the night we went, we can honestly recommend this restaurant. I just hope if you visit you have the same or similar experience to us. We would go again as the experience we had was memorable we are just sorry all the others who had a poor experience didn't get what we had!

We got charged a cover charge and service of 12% and then told that it was a govt tax and not a tip and told we needed to pay a tip in cash as we paid by card.

We got charged covers in all other resturants but never a tax, so this alone makes me dislike this resturant.

The location is amazing, your not eating there for the quality of the food, your eating there for the view and to watch the world go by.

They also dont give you the pizza menu unless you ask, they give you the expensive fish menu, so ask for the pizza menu, they have it.
