“Great little hotel”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

We stayed here for a night before our cruise. The hotel is on a small canal in a quiet part of Venice. We took a water taxi directly from the airport in Venice to the front door of the hotel, which was a very nice trip. Check in was very simple and quite friendly. We received an upgrade to a beautiful room with a very nice bath and view of the square outside the hotel and the canal. We had our son with us, and the room had two baths, a pull out bed downstairs, and a loft with a queen bed upstairs. The room was nicely decorated, with large doors to a small balcony.

The hotel had food laid out in the late afternoon, which was welcome as we arrived before dinner relatively hungry. The recommended restaurants for dinner were terrific and not too far a walk. Breakfast consisted of an assortment of breads, cheeses, cured meats, pastries, yogurt, fruits, juices, and wonderful coffee. The front desk graciously extended our check out and took care of our bags while we visited in Venice before traveling by water bus to our ship.

Overall, the hotel was in a great location, had very nice, clean rooms, and very friendly staff at the front desk and in the restaurants. You could not ask for more from a hotel this size at this price point.

Located in a vibrant and interesting neighborhood, the rooms were gorgeous. Baths modern and ell appointed. The breakfast, happy hour and snacks were very good. The beds were comfortable. We took 5 rooms for our group, so we got a good look at a variety of their rooms. The hotel suggested a very good restaurant for our group. Overall, a winner! I would stay here again.

A jewel of a hotel in a perfect place. We had private water taxi transfers from the airport to the door and back - although it was only 5/10 mins walk from the water bus stops. Staff were really helpful and friendly. We had superior rooms which were a nice size. Bed was hard but I asked if they had a topper to put over the mattress and it was done the same day. Small breakfast room (seats about 24) but no problem except on the last day when everyone arrived when it opened at 7.30 as they were leaving at 8! Lovely fresh pastries. Afternoon coffee and cake/biscuits was welcome after a days sightseeing! Also a glass of wine and nibbles before venturing out to dinner was another added benefit of the hotel. We unluckily had one day of torrential rain and thunder - a restaurant on site would have been nice but they did have big umbrellas to borrow!
We bought 4 hours of wifi for 9 euros and made sure we logged off each time and it easily lasted the 4 days we were there. Would definitely stay here again. Away from the crowds but close enough to walk everywhere.

Arrived by water taxi from the airport to the front door of this quaint hotel and were greeted by very friendly staff. We were upgraded to a large room which was much appreciated. Enjoyed the breakfasts and the afternoon snacks. As other reviews have mentioned the location is perfect, in a quiet residential area but still close enough to all that Venice has to offer. Would definitely stay at the UNA again.

Nice hotel, in a residential area off the main tourist streets. I found it hard to find first time but access is pretty close to the water bus station.

Service was excellent, and rooms were more then decent.

Not recommended for some one looking to be in action 24/7 in san marco square though.

I am really glad that I chose this property for my recent visit to Venice. The service was excellent and food was really good. The rooms were very comfortable. Had traveled with my parents and they had a great time too. The hotel had very friendly staff and they were also very helpful to my elderly parents too. Overall, very happy with the property.

This hotel is just far enough to be peaceful and close enough to all districts in Venice.
the room we had was a tad on the small side, could be because it was an upstairs corner room, but was well decorated with some classic features over looking the street which was mainly residential. the staff was very helpful and welcoming, giving us great ideas which areas to visit and a map which I think is a must, even doe getting lost in Venice is great fun, would stay here again.
