“Fantastic hotel in a great location.”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of August. Great communication before our holiday as the hotel sent advice on how to get to the hotel.

The hotel was very beautiful and the room was amazing. I had seen photos before we left but it looked even better in person.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location within easy walking of the vaporetta to the islands of Murano and also the Rialto bridge in the other direction.

We only paid to eat out on our last night in Venice as the hotel runs a complimentary snack bar from 2.30 to 10.00pm every day. Available snacks included juices, bottled water, tea and coffee, fresh fruit, biscuits, cakes, crisps and nuts. At 6pm the hotel sets out a range of sandwiches and wine (all complimentary). Just fantastic!!!

We stayed here for two nights in August and selected the hotel because of the price, location, and reviews. It's in the Cannaregio district which was perfectly situated for our stay. We took the Alilaguna boat from the airport to the Fondamenta Nuove stop, which was as painless as you could hope for with two large suitcases. From the stop, it was a short walk to the hotel in the quietest and calmest part of Venice. We loved staying in this area because it was close to the main sights (about 15 minutes) but away from the crowds. I was initially apprehensive that we were further away than I thought because it was so quiet! It was great being able to step away from the crowds and be the only people walking through the neighborhood. To see all of the sights, it's a short walk away that shouldn't inconvenience anyone. The location is far enough away that you can be gone all day, but close enough to get back to the hotel, shower, and head back out for dinner.

The room was our smallest room during this trip in Italy and this is the main reason I don't give it the highest rating. We were told that we were upgraded, so I would be concerned with the smallest room that they have because ours was cramped. However, the bathroom was very nice and large enough to be comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable.

The free breakfast is typical of what we ate during our stay in Italy- cold cuts, cheese, fruit, eggs, etc. The servers were very friendly and quickly cleaned off the tables because the breakfast room is very small. Our room's air conditioner worked great, but the air conditioner in the breakfast room was set to an uncomfortable temperature, which seems to be the norm in Italy. I suggest making the breakfast room cooler. The afternoon tea is a nice feature, but we didn't really enjoy it because we were too busy walking around Venice. Apparently they also provide late-night sandwiches, but again, we were out-and-about so we didn't eat the sandwiches.

The staff was very friendly and approachable. Our check-in was smooth with no issues and the staff was able to answer several of our questions about Venice. The staff didn't hesitate to provide us with directions, tips, or set up reservations.

Dear Utampa

we deeply appreciate your opinions . It's important to receive either positive or negative feedback in order to improve our standard. This allow us get more and more customer oriented.

Being our Hotel a noble Palazzo Veneziano , all the public spaces and the living area of this ancient residence with moderate spaces. At the moment of the reservations it is possible to have an idea of the space of the rooms, as in each room description the dimentions are specified. From your feedback it seems that your stay took place this August a month where we are fully booked almost everyday. We are sorry if you found the breakfast room crowded due to the unexpected number of people having breakfast at the same time. We are glad that you enjoyed all the other services we offer our clients.

Looking forward the pleasure to welcoming you at our Hotel once again, please have our

Best regards

We stayed here for 4 nights in August and upon arrival we received an upgrade which was wonderful, overlooking a canal. The service was great the reception staff very friendly and helpful with tours and even teaching us basic words in Italian. Breakfast included was very good but what is fantastic is afternoon tea from 2pm and drinks and nibbles from 6pm all included. The hotel is close to Strada Nuova a good place to shop. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 2 Nights 9th &10th of August. The Hotel has a great location, extremely helpful and friendly Staff and makes the most of its facilities.
We had booked a "suite" which in truth would have been for 2 People, however we are a Family of 4 and to accommodate us there was a fold down double bed in the lounge. The main bedroom was a great size with a sofa and table. The bathroom was in the main bedroom and therefore the Children would have to come in to our bedroom to use it. A minor inconvenience.
The Hotel has a small breakfast area: The offering was standard. However The Una has no Bar or Restaurant available but makes up for this by opening the breakfast area during the day to provide free tea/coffee/snacks and then later at night: wine and sandwiches are available once again free of charge. We didn't find this out until we arrived and it was a nice gesture.
We were only in Venice for 2 days and location was important: The Hotel is situated in the Cannaregio District and you can walk to St Marks Square in 20 minutes easily.
The Staff were great, very helpful.
We flew into Treviso from Sicily and decided to get the Bus into Venice (72 euros Return for the Family): 40 minutes, hassle free and then a Water Taxi (65 euros) to the Hotel. It was certainly worth the price as this was our Family's 1st visit to Venice and we got a flavour of the canals instantly!!
Overall a lovely stay.

Room Tip: The Suite we stayed in, Room 101 did not have a Balcony: Room 201, directly above, does.

We loved the location. It is nearby the hotspots but out of the touristic mainroutes. The best is the pillow service, Breakfast is a little bit poor, italian-sytle.
The bathroom/shower was to small for me.

To get to hotel I recommend following directions on review dated 9th June, it got us to the hotel easily. Hotel was lovely, there wasn't any wine on offer at the afternoon tea, maybe you have to ask but the tea and biscuits were nice, great location and a beautiful city.

Room Tip: Use directions from traveller on 9th June
