We made the reservation one month before arrival and even that, when we arrived the receptionist allocate us another room because they did not read that we requested a twin bedroom.

That was acceptable but I got quite disappointed when she said that breakfast was in the main building, hence, if it is winter you must "take you coat" to go to have breakfast and there is not night reception in that building.

Before making the reservation I called to make sure that breakfast took place in the same hotel, as many establishments in Verona serve breakfast outside the hotel –many times in a bar.

The room was very clean, excellent bathroom, light and decoration as well as linen.

Breakfast, even the room was small; it was very varied serving both continental as well as a full English breakfast with good quality products.

The location is excellent, just three minutes’ walk from the Arena and not far from the train station (7 Euros aprox.).

I will recommend it and will come back; despite one receptionist poor customer service skills and attitude.

Stayed one night in October. We got a decent promotional rate booking on the hotel website that included free wifi and breakfast. The location was great. The staff could not be more helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast very good. We had no problem finding a place to sit at breakfast. I don't have any other hotel stays in Verona to compare it with, but I'd definitely stay here if I return to Verona.

This hotel is located on a quiet street very close to the Arena (about a 5 minute walk). There is a lovely restaurant just up the street which did the best pizza we had all of the trip, and the prices in this area are good.

The hotel itself is small and welcoming, and beautifully presented. We had a twin room on the 2nd floor (there is a lift) which was spacious and the bathroom was excellent, and included a very good shower.

Breakfast was great - full continental including eggs and small sausages, the staff make all coffees and there's a nice range of pastries. Everyone we dealt with at the hotel was very helpful and made our stay very special.

As a side note, WiFi is not free but is only 3EUR as a one off payment for the duration of your stay, and I had no problem with it.

I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again.

We only stayed here for one night on our travels and accordingly booked an economy double. In common with another reviewer we were pleasantly surpised by a very comfortable room which was certainly larger than some "economy" rooms we have experienced.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the buffet breakfast good. The location was excellent for access to the main sights of the city and good restaurants were a short walk away. The only problem from our point of view as rail travellers was the distance from the station. However, it is not possible in Verona to be convenient for both the centre and the station so therefore a good choice.

We would have been happy to stay here for longer, even in an economy room, and on this basis I am sure that the other rooms are good although I cannot comment first hand. On the basis of our experience we would certainly recommend this hotel for a stay in Verona and if visiting Verona again we would not look for anywhere else.

Stayed for one week in this hotel as we wanted to be near the Arena for the opera. We were not disappointed! Very comfortable beds; friendly, helpful staff; great location - central but quiet. Excellent, plentiful breakfast with great choices. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

We recently stayed here for two nights. Our room was situated in the annex, across the street from the main Hotel, this building and our room has been elegantly refurbished and very spacious, only two little faults,no drawer space for shirts etc,and no shower head attachment ,I'm sure these have now been rectified.
It is perfectly situated, lovely staff and excellent breakfast.we would and hope to return next year. The Marco Polo is also very easy to drive to,and has a car park on site, unlike most city centre hotels where their carparks are a trek away.thanks

Stayed for 4 nights with no complaints. We booked a economy double room so didn't expect too much but we were pleasantly surprised. The bed was very comfortable, there was a walk in wardrobe and the bathroom was very clean and modern. Breakfast was very good. The location was perfect, only 5min walk to the arena. I would highly recommend this hotel.
