Always ask to see your room before you receive! Especially if you booking at www.booking.com! Don't let them transfering you!!!
We booked a standard room at Marco Polo but they transfered us to an other hotel named Hotel Mastino. It's an older, less styled hotel, we got a very small, dark, smelly room with a tiny window and view to the backyard with air condition boxes. I asked back 3 times, why they move us there, they said "because people who booking a room at booking.com is get an other kind of room but it's closer to the city."
At the next morning after we checked out and payed everything I had to go back to Marco Polo to leave the garage key there. There was a room door open (during the cleaning) and I looked into it. It was a new, big, beautiful room, exactly like on the official picture what I booked originally!!!
They let themselves the right to discriminate you if you booking at booking.com, this is incomprehensible, I'm a big traveler plus a flight attendant, so have been hundreds of hotels, but nobody did anything like that before!

First of all thank you for your review, even if negative, it is our policy to listen to all the hotel reviews to improve our customer service.
Regarding the problem of moving from one structure to another, this is a solution used only in emergencies, such as periods of high crowding or force majeure, and we try to tackle it offering customers the standard of the booked rooms in any case.
It is absolutely false that we discriminate against booking.com customers, most of them in fact as you can see on the site, are largely satisfied with their stay as our guests.
I'm sorry that you had such a bad experience, certainly due to a mistake not depending on our will, and I hope you will notify us, before come back, to live our hotel in the best way.
