I came to Verona for the opera and looked for a restaurant near to the Arena. La Griglia seemed to suit my choice and was recommended on FB. Great choice!! My fillet steaks with different sauces were cooked to perfection, green pepper, Amarone ... superb! ('Well done' is not often well received in Europe but here it was perfect, succulent and tasty.)
Then there were the pasta dishes ... tortellini with black truffle, for example .. excellent!
The wine list was good and reasonably priced. At 25 euros, the Valpolicello Superiore was exceptional for my taste.
Lastly, and most important, the staff were very good, welcoming and attentive. No rudeness, ever.
That there was a queue at the door after 2000 hrs speaks volumes. So, either book a table or arrive early .. you might be lucky (1900 hrs latest).
