“Great agriturismo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

Very nice agriturismo. Great Italian food in the weekends. Great hospitality by Pierangelo and Luciana. Great view over Verona by night. Near the beautiful city of Verona and 50 minutes from Padova and lake Garda.

La Perlara is a perfect place to stay and visit the region. Verona , Padova , Vicenza , Venice , lake Garda , etc.. are nearby and reachable withing 1 1/2 hour by car . The rooms are very clean and breakfast and dinner very good . But best of all , the hospitallity of the staff , specially Luciana .
Our daughter ( 6 years ) almost cried when we left La Perlara !
Thank you Luciana for the nice time we had in your house .
regards , Carola , Lourdes and Peter

Being our first time in Italy we've looked for several location and finally we choose La Perlara. We traveled with some friends (each family with one teenager).Placed in the surroundings of Verona city (app.14 km of center) it is a very handy location for exploring all the beauties in the area: hills with wineyards and olive trees, small tratorrias with the specific traditional meals, lake Garda and many other beauties. We've been first of all amazed by the exceptional view of the city (we arrived at night time and it was amazing to watch the city of Verona and to listen to the concert of the crickets). Hosts behaved impecable: Luciana and hear nice Sofie helped with the breakfast (tasty and with local products: Monte Veronese cheese, jams, salumi, cakes etc). We also had the opportunity to taste the local cuisine (they were cooking each weekend, friday-sunday). If being there ask for the local wine (white and red), cold from the cellar. We had wonderfull silent afternoons by the pool (quiet place where you can enjoy reading a book). We will definitly come back as soon as possible to explore the rich Veronese region. Strongly recomend to families with kids (I've seen kids from 1-9 years being treated with maximum attention). One more tip: don't miss the different species of fig trees (you can pick fresh from the tree and eat as much as you like).

Room Tip: Anyone of the rooms can be chosen. Very nice, clean and tastefull furnished.

What a surprise! Beautifully located, well held! Very friendly people, good food and very good home made wine! Clean comfortable room, even with two guys of 13 an 16 in parents room. Breathless view over Verona, both from the restaurant and the swimming pool! Easy access to all surroundings. 20 minutes from Garda lake. Very, very friendly housekeepers. Thank you for the real great time! Christophe (Belgium)

We stayed here with out two kids. The owners were gracious and took us all around their farm and spent a lot of time with us talking about the farm and the area. This is a real farm, with horses, pigs, chickens, rabbits, cherry orchard, vinyard, garden..., not a fake agriturismo that sells jam and olive oil from the local area. The rooms were immaculate, and the shower was the best one I have every been in. Breakfast was good, but we the restaurant at the agriturismo was closed for dinner. Fortunately, there is an excellent restaurant a 5 minute walk away (Bigoli amitriciana, spinach gnocchetti, salumi, corniglio, yum...) Our 45 Euro dinner at the place down the road was unbelievable (45 for all of us, not per person!), so if you happen to stay at La Perlara when their restaurant is closed, don't dispair The area is tranquil, pastoral, and very relaxing. Our kids (now 9 and 12) still talk about their memories of La Perlara, and we stayed there about 3 years ago. We would go back in a second.
I knocked off a point for the kids activities because we were there before the pool was installed. It would get a 5 now for sure, as the pool looks great.

Room Tip: The family room had a separate room for the adults
