“Very friendly”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

The family was very friendly, the breakfast was very good.
I love the option of renting a bike, it made our tour more confortable. The street is very calm, the bed very confortable and there was a little open air area connected to the room equiped with table, chairs and plants. Everything was very clean.

Well decorated room with a shared kitchen area on the ground floor of the owner's family home. Rooms and bathrooms were spotless and cleaned each day. Good breakfast with croissants, rolls, cheese, juice, coffee and tea provided. 5 minutes walk from the bus stop with buses to down town Verona (including the Arena and Plaza Erbe) every 20 minutes. Claudio and his family were friendly, helpful and would assist with and answer any queries from booking tickets, printing or recommending places to go. Detailed maps of the town and bus route were provided. Good wifi connection too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be recommending this accommodation to friends who plan to travel in the region. Verona is a beautiful city with much to offer. We did a day trip to Venice easily catching the local train from the nearby station. To properly see Verona and squeeze in a day trip to Venice we recommend at least 3 nights! Just be careful as many places (shops/restaurants) close on Sunday and museums are closed on Monday.

Horrible! Awful neighborhood. Not even a sign. No one seemed to know where it was. The free parking is in the middle of the street (if you can find a a spot). An awful area with people searching the trash at midnight. We were too worried to leave our car cuz we were sure we wouldn't find it the next day that we left in the middle of the night. They made us pay the 2 nights we booked even though we decided to leave as soon as we got there! Definitely not worth the money :( :(

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
"La Buccetta" B&B is located in Verona, only 3 km away from the "Arena", in an elegant building dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, which was completely refurbished in 2006 by preserving the ancient character. "La Buccetta" B&B is located in a nice area of the city, which has very good public transport links to the city centre (daytime: bus 70 and 71, evenings, Sundays and public holidays: bus 93). Besides the B&B is close to the local railway station "Verona Porta Vescovo". You can get to the nearby Adige Park, as well as to the historical centre in a few minutes, by riding the bicycles the B&B rents to its guests. La Buccetta B&B has two double rooms, both are big and bright, with a simple and accurate furniture. Each room has air-conditioning and its own en-suite bathroom, with fresh linen and body care products. The furniture was designed to be in line with each room structure and character. As a matter of facts, "Sophia" and "Leonardo" are very different rooms as far as their style and atmosphere are concerned. La Buccetta" B&B is in Verona, in Via Galileo Galilei n. 115, only 5 km away from Verona Est tollbooth (exit), on A4 motorway (Milan-Venice). Getting to the B&B by train is a very easy option, as we are strategically located close to the local train station "Verona Porta Vescovo". Once you get there, you just have to walk under the pedestrian tunnel "il buso del gato" and you will get to the B&B in a few minutes. The last option would be taking the public transport that run every 15 minutes in front of "La Buccetta" B&B. Bus n.93 (evenings, Sundays and public holidays) starts from Verona main railway station "Verona Porta Nuova", while bus n. 70 and 71 (daytime) and bus n. 93 (evenings, Sundays and public holidays) start from the historical city centre. ... more   less
