Pick the bus up at any stop, distinctive red colours and clearly marked, you can pay by cash,or card on the bus or at various outlets around town which may or may not take credit cards.

There are two routes in and around Verona, A and B. Route A goes to Piazza Bra , Corso Porta Nuova, Railway station, Piazza Pozza, Castelvecchio, Porta Borsari, Teatro Romano and Porta Leoni.
Route B starts at Piazza Bra, Tombe Giulietta, Via G Giust, TeatroRomano, Madonna di Lourdes, Duomo, Piazza Erbe (Casa Giulietta), and Porta Leoni.

You get a good map with your ticket and multi lingual comentary. Plenty to see, Each route takes about an hour but hop on and off as you please to see the sights. Afterwards keep your ticket for discount on future city sight seeing tours in other cities / countries.

We went to Verona just for the day and decided the sightseeing tour bus would give us the best overall way of seeing the whole shebang in a fairly limited time. The bus stop at the railway station where we were intending to join this tour was not well advertised at all, so much so, that we spent a good hour and a half wandering around trying to locate the bus stop. Although we asked at the rail station, the staff weren't very helpful, rolling their eyes when I showed the sightseeing bus map route which I had printed off the internet and just handed us a map of the ordinary bus services. As a consequence of this and the buses being just hourly we ended up getting a taxi to the Piazza Bra in order to get on the tour bus and weren't really left with enough time to see all the places of interest, which was a great shame. The bus tour itself was, on the whole, pretty good for the time we actually spent on it.

We did the blue route. I very much enjoyed it, I thought the price was a little on the expensive side, but we got to see so much of Verona it was worth it. Having the English descriptions of the sites via the included headphones was great. Some of the views on the blue route are fantastic - I won't forget them in a hurray. A few Euro less and I'd have given these tours a better rating.

We first encountered the "On-Off Buses" in Barcelona, Spain and we are SOLD on this simple and very effective tourist experience.

The Verona On-Off Bus can be boarded at several stops all over Verona, but across from the main train station is the best location. We purchased a two day pass for about $30 Euro and had a ball!

The buses are double-decker with stairs that are easy to climb. Great shooting platforms for photographers. You climb aboard, get a pair of ear buds handed to you, find a seat and then plug your buds into the guided tour audio player by selecting the flag of your country or language. Easy!

In each city there is a minimum of two different routes and anywhere between 10-15 stops along the way. The best way to do it we found is to ride an entire route without getting off so you can learn about the history of the city. Then take a second trip and jump off at the stops you circled during your first trip around the city. The buses are great about picking you up every 15-30 mins. You just have to look at the bus schedule to know when.

In Florence, make sure that you take the two different routes (Red and Blue) that take you along the Arno River and then the longer route that takes you out into the Verona neighborhoods.

The On-Off Buses are one of the most interesting and informative attractions in any city where you find them. Cheap, efficient, educational, fun and kid friendly. Enjoy! Ciao.

If you found this review helpful, please let TripAdvisor know that I helped you out. Always nice to know if my work was worth the effort for you. Thanks!

Verona is a beautiful city, it is relatively small, but if like us you are only there for a few days it is highly probable that you will miss lots of it if you don't take advantage of this hop on hop off bus which give a really good overview of the city (a couple of different routes) and therefore allows you to maximise your time there. On one of the routes you are taken to the top of the hill and it stops for a few minutes to allow you to get off and take some photos - at this point you see the whole city below you and the view is great. I would strongly advise however that you get off the bus at this point and wait the half hour for the next one and pop into the cafe that is there - I expected that given it is the only place for miles, and it has a captive audience that it would be very expensive to eat - however I was wrong - very reasonably priced and quality was good.
