This place is exactly as described. A stop over, it does that job fantastically. The hotel is simple and clean, the staff are accommodating the location isn't great but you are a taxi ride costing less than €15, away from the centre of Verona. I felt safe here, the car park is overlooked. The hotel rooms again are simple but serve a purpose, for your stop over. There is free wifi. All in all I think this place is superb for price vs function. The only reason I wouldn't give it any more stars is because of its basic set up but that is reflected in the price.

Dear Guest,

Thanks for your time in writing your review.
I'm sorry to read that you were disappointed with your choice. Ibis Verona is much more convenient if you drive and you can reach the city center in few minutes.
Ibis Hotels are 3 stars hotels and they do not provide minibar in the room, we have vending machine in the lobby where you can find drinks and snacks at your convenience and at any time day and night.
I hope you will riconsider your position and you will give us the change to welcome you again in Ibis Verona

We stayed one night at the Ibis Verona to attend the Summer Opera at the arena in the evening. Check in was smooth. The lobby was mosquito infested and while waiting I managed to get bitten twice despite it being the middle of the day. The lobby area is however very dim and with lots of dark hues. This may contribute to the bugs being active in daytime as well. The room we got was on the top floor (5th) and looked out over the adjacent Catolico Insurance Building. The hotel itself is located very near the tangenziale of Verona south in a commercial area. By car it’s a straight 10 minute drive (5 km) into town. If you expect charming Verona or Juliette’s balcony scene then better head elsewhere. The room was Spartan and white, devoid of any non-essential fixtures – no paintings, no decoration. The two beds were ludicrously narrow. I can imagine some people might fall out during the night. However, the mattress was comfortable and new and the linen surprisingly soft and pleasant to the touch. The bathroom was a bathroom without frills. The shower head leaked where the tubing had been connected to the head. The shower curtain was brown at the basis. Soap came in a big container hanging from the wall (shampoo & shower combined). The air-conditioning worked providing modest amounts of slightly chilled air. It was 36 degrees during our stay so it could have worked a bit better. The hotel has free parking space. Wifi was free and of good quality. We did not have breakfast in the hotel as I didn’t feel like becoming the breakfast for voracious mosquitoes. The rooms were surprisingly quiet and well sound-proofed. Check-out was swift and uneventful. The bill was correct. This is one of those old-style Ibis hotels that give you a slightly depressed feeling with faded colors contrasted by posters of incongruous new promotion campaigns displayed in the corridors that don’t match the surroundings in any way and that merely rub it in that the marketing is not at all in line with the hotel’s reality. If you stay here: don’t stay too long or bring Prozac. Better find a similarly priced hotel in a nicer spot.

Nice personnel, clean, quiet room, WiFi in room and works OK.
The hotel is a standard ibis hotel in an industrial area, perfect if you just need a budget place to sleep. Far from the city center, quite expensive for the location.

Gentile Olivian,

We stayed there for three nights in June 214. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in a spacious and clean area . Food was very good and convenient for us. We pre-booked via Hotel group website and there was no problem with early check in r late check out. In both we were not asked to pay any extra charges. The room and en-suite were clean but not very spacious , Hotel location is not near city centre but it is about ten minutes away by taxi. Reception staff would call the taxi for us and it would be there within a few minutes every time. Would stay there again. it is one of the best hotels we stayed in when it comes to professionalism and cleanliness of premises

Room Tip: If you are planning on attending to visit Verona , give abut 15 minutes extra as this is usually how...

It's a bit out of the centre but it's really convenient for the main route from Milan. It does rather sit on its own with not very much around it. The hotel is pretty basic inside but there's everything that you need and it's good value for money. Staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is adequate. I'd suggest if you're eating that you go for the freshly cooked grill items as these are freshly cooked whereas the rest is reheated from frozen.
Solid if unspectacular.
