We arrived late afternoon with no booking and were given what was effectively a suite in the block a couple of doors down from the hotel. At first we were sceptical about this but actually it works well. Parking is safe. Breakfasts so so. Staff really helpful

My wife & I were really pleased with Hotel Firenze. Very nice room, great air conditioning, really good location, being about a 5 minute walk to the main attractions. They let us store our bags after check out as we explored the city on our last day to kill time before our flight. Very helpful. And the breakfast was quality, I disgraced myself with the level of sausage and bacon consumption, but breakfast offered pretty much everything going. Slightly pricey but would defo go back.

The location is a plus, 900 m away from Arena di Verona.
Good size for both rooms and bathrooms, clean, with all expected amenities.
The hotel does not have restaurant but this is not an issue in the area full of Osterias, Trattorias and restaurants.

We stayed here for four nights on a Bed and Breakfast basis. The hotel room was large, bright and very clean and had a jaccuzi bath. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choice. The hotel is a ten minute walk into the town with its fantastic amthitheatre and many other wonderful sights and eating places. If you are here vist Cantina Buglioni Osteria del Bugiardo which is off Piazza Erbe on Corsa Porta Borsari for a very different eating and drinking experiece. A glass of wine and bottle of water is very reasonable. Hotel Firenze is a good base to visit the City. We would go back.

We stayed in Verona for 7 days at this hotel.
Has all the features you would expect of a BW hotel.
I could write much about how comfortable the room was, how the beds were turned down in the evening, and how a Baci chocolate was left on the bedside table each day!.
I could also continue about how comprehensive the buffet breakfast was, and the helpfullness of the serving staff.
I can only say that if you stay there and have the same experience as us you could not fail to be satisfied.

We stayed for four nights at the Firenze in late July, and thoroughly recommend it as a well located, welcoming and ultra clean hotel. Situated ten minutes walk to the main station and five-ten minutes walk in the other direction to the Arena, although it is not in particularly beautiful surroundings, it is quiet at night and we felt safe walking back in the dark. Reception staff are very welcoming and helpful with train timetables and information about the opera. The whole hotel is spotless, with efficient room service and a Baci chocolate left every night :-) Our twin room was a reasonable size with good storage, a balcony and excellent air conditioning which you can adjust yourself. The bathroom was a bit gaudy with green and flowery tiles but again, spotlessly clean. Other reviewers have raved about the jacuzzi shower but personally, I thought it was a waste of bathroom space, and as some of the jets did not work properly and only emitted a tiny squirt, it wasn't worth it ! We were given a voucher on check-in for a free welcome drink, which was a nice touch, and in line with other comments about the breakfast, agree that this is excellent - one of the best ever in Italy. A very wide selection of cereals, fruits, meat, cheese, bio and gluten free products etc with lovely caffe latte and cappuccino. You must visit the opera in the Arena (but take a cushion if you're in the cheap seats, which were £25) and visit Sirmione on Lago di Garda, especially the remains of the house of Catullo on the end of the peninsula. Take the train to Peschiera and walk round to the marina where you can catch the boat to Sirmione.
All in all, for a short break in Verona, you would be very well served by the Firenze.
