“Good location, a little dated, pretty good breakfast, good value for Verona”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014

Based on reviews, we were expecting a nicer hotel, the property is a little dated, rooms are ok but they are not the most modern. Our room had the bed a step higher than rest of room, I did almost fall to the floor on my way to the restroom. The location is very good, close to the train station and 10 minutes walk to center of town. Internet works well and is included, they gave us 4 access keys to utilize with our computers plus cellular. The shower is a massage/Jacuzzi capsule, pretty high-tech.

Room Tip: Our room 121 did have 2 windows but they looked into an interior patio.

Stayed (for the second time) Wednesday 22nd Jan.
The location of the hotel is perfect as it's a short walk to the main square (Piazza Bra).
There are many quality restaurants in and around the square.

The rooms are luxurious, very clean and comfortable; The shower is pretty special !

Plenty of choice at breakfast and the food is always fresh and well presented.

All the staff are very helpful and welcoming. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The Firenze has been a regular stopover when travelling to and from Southern Italy. It's a great location just a short walk from the centre and the rooms are always spotless and comfortable. Staff great too.

They don't do evening meals but the centre abounds with restaurants and there are several close by as well. I can recommend the Brazillian a few doors down.

Secure parking available just around the corner.

My husband and I stayed in July in this hotel, during our honeymoon. We stayed 3 days there.
The location is really good - near the train station and also near the Arena (where we watched a play called Nabucco on August 1st).
The food is really good. You have a lot of options to eat.
The room is clean and big. For us it was good because we had 4 big luggages!!
We had rent a car for this trip, and because of that we payed for parking it in this hotel.
For sure, if someday I return to Verona, we'll stay in Firenze Hotel.

Ideally located to the station. Close enough to walk and easy to find. Hertz car hire is a 5 minute walk to the office and you pick up your car next to the station which was ideal as we headed out to the lakes for a day. Our room was really clean, well decorated and all the furniture and fixtures were smart with nothing tired or tatty with a great bathroom. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed here in May 2013, for 4 nights prior to a week in Bardolino, Lake Garda. It was a special occasion, our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We arrived at 10 am after a 6 am flight from Glasgow. We were delighted to be told our Room was ready. It was a lovely room complete with tea and coffee making facilities, which is very unusual in Italy. This is a centrally located hotel on a lovely tree lined avenue, just a ten minute walk to the Town Centre. A very good base to enjoy Beautiful Verona, a joy in itself!!! It has a nice Breakfast Room, serving a wide variety of cold meats, cheeses and pastries and some cooked food. The bar is small but pleasant and the lovely Barman was always on hand to suggest a nice wine. This is A Best Western Hotel, but has a smaller number of rooms than the norm, which makes it a more personal experience. Altogether, a fabulous stay. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a superior room. We gained a beautifully ornate bathroom.

We booked this trip via Last minute, and were really pleased to have chosen this hotel. The price was excellent for its location, being a 5 minute stroll down to the Arena. It was a short taxi ride from the airport, which cost 25€. The room was actually a suite in an adjoining building with its own separate entrance, well appointed with built in kitchenette which we didn't use. Also, the most comprehensive shower unit we"ve seen, with built in steam facility and water jets coming from all angles! All the staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent- a vast notice, good quality and plentiful. We would definitely recommend this place to stay, and Verona generally for a weekend break.
