The B&B is so discreet that it's almost impossible to locate - but once you're let into the old palazzo you appreciate the separation from the bustle of the streets outside. The place is small (only a few rooms) but newly and expensively decorated, in an upmarket magazine style that may not be to everyone's taste (I found it oppressively 'luxurious' and would happily have traded the Hollywood jacuzzi for a simple shower). Somewhat cramped in the reception / breakfast area, but overall it's a tranquil and comfortable place for an overnight stay, with an exclusive and indulgent feel. Excellent value price-wise.

I stayed here for three nights in October. Elizabetta is a welcoming and helpful host and her attention to detail is excellent. I loved my room which was as clean as a new pin. Breakfast was lovely, always fresh and beautifully presented. Verona is a gorgeous city, small enough to see in a few days, I loved just wandering around, stopping now and again to sample the cakes and ice cream, I also had some of the best pasta ever!

We only stayed here for 1 night but wished we had stayed for longer.

Elisabetta was very welcoming and offers a beautiful B&B for a quiet and relaxing stay. The building has been completely refurbished in the last year but still keeping the character and charm of it's age. Corte delle Pigne is located in the older sector of Verona and is perfect to walk to all the sights within 5 mins.

The rooms are some of the largest and best we discovered in Italy and very well appointed, the beds are large and comfortable while the bathrooms are large and ours had a powerful shower.

The breakfast was served in the small courtyard and was very fresh with a large choice to really set you up for the day.

The perfect spot for a stay in Verona, which is a charming city with a lot of history and attraction. Congratulations Elisabetta on a beautiful B&B

The B&B is in a quiet courtyard behind giant doors on the Via Pigna in the heart of historic Verona. Close to the key attractions.

We arrived to find a hysterical Scottish woman was searching for her rail tickets. Elisabetta, the owner, phoned the taxi company, on the client's behalf, to check if the tickets had been left in the taxi to the station. She then got her own car out to go to the station to try and get duplicate tickets for the client. [We later found out that when they arrived at the station the taxi driver was waiting with the tickets.] Service like that is unbelieveable.

We had the Rondinella room for 2 nights - Kingsize bed, superb quality compact bathroom and a third bed in the open plan area between the bathroom and the bedroom. Flat screen TV, excellent aircon - superb.

Breakfast in the courtyard was wonderful. Cereals, fruit, yoghurts, tasty cheese and melt in the mouth ham. The Italian pastries were the best we had on our whole trip and if she has the plum crumble dish available, crumble for breakfast sounds crazy I know but try it, it is delicious.

There are guide books in many languages, not just for Verona but the whole area. Cushions (our bums were numb even using 2 cushions each watching Aida for 4.5 hours) and blankets are available for the Opera saving you from being fleeced at the Arena.

None of our subsequent 4* hotels came close in quality of room and food.
