Since we were using Verona as a base for exploring the region, we selected this hotel for its easy access to the highway and reasonably proximity to the hisotric center. Though we don't usually opt for the more business like American style hotel, this was a pleasant exception. It's a lovely business type hotel lacking any realy Italian character, but it served our pupose nicely. The room was fairly spacious and the staff at the reception desk was quite helpful and even suggested some little known out of the way stops for us as they helped us with our travel plans; they even arrangied a private tour of a balsamic vinegar villa in Modena for us.To get to the historic center, we needed to drive out to a lot, just before the bridge and then walk in. Twenty minutes all told, but not too convenient if you don't have a car. Plenty of fairly good casual dining spots one can walk to, but they don't compare in quality or price tag to those in the hisotric center. For the opera they had their own shuttle, which you could arrange for a time to eat dinner in town before hand or to go straight to the performance.

Easy access if traveling by car.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had traveling around Italy.
We had dinner in the restaurant which was nice.
When we arrived we asked for an upgrade on our room but was told by staff the room we would be staying in was recently updated and very nice. We agree! With one exception. The bed was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. I arranged the blankets I found in the closet for a more comfortable sleep.
We need to do some ironing. A very nice lady collected our garments and ironed them both for around €5.
We would stay here again.

Further from the centre than I realised. Takes c 30 mins to walk into central Verona. Hotel decor in need of some modernisation. Check in staff were unfriendly. Breakfast was ok. Wouldn't stay here again

Hotel was clean and well located (easy 20 min walk to city). I booked at the desk, so did not get the best deal ever but that was mistake. Breakfast was okay in the usual Italian way although they did try bacon and scrambled eggs although none of us like their look.
But why o why do hotels of this type try to charge for Wifi! Will not be coming back for this simple point as there are so many alternative that give this for free. All for the sake of a couple of euro, yet another hotel gets my black ball!

I moved here from the Crowne Plaza (CP) in Verona, as the restaurant at the CP was disappointing and expensive, and this was closer to the city centre. The rate was only €10 cheaper than the CP, but the difference in the rooms is incredible. The rooms at the CP are really modern with ultra comfortable beds etc. whereas the rooms at the Leopardi are very basic, uncomfortable bed dingy bathroom with showerhead clogged with limescale. The hotel is a €10 taxi ride from the centre, or a 20 minute walk. (The walk is quite nice as it takes you past some nice bars and restaurants). The staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful, breakfast was ok, but it really needs updating. the restaurant looked ok but there was no one in it so i walked to town both nights. Hotel has a nice spa but really needs to upgrade it's rooms.

Room Tip: Find another hotel or try Crowne Plaza, it's a bit out of town though.

The hotel, though dated, was clean and somewhat comfortable for our brief stay in September. The location is a short cab ride from the train station, though is a lengthy walk to the towns CBD.

The Wi-Fi speed was terrible and the mattress very firm. The complimentary breakfast was a real treat.

This hotel is not particularly close to the pizzaz bra or the main station. It's about 30-40 min walk and also in an area with not much around. You could get a bus which is much easier to get about.

Rooms- I had a basic room which was adequate and the breakfast was also your average continental or Armenian style. The fruit choice was poor and you had to pay for wifi which should really be a part of the room price.
Location- as mentioned not close to main attractions but an easy bus ride.
Would I go back here? Hmmm no, simply because it's not really near much and I'd prefer to stay near pizzaz bra. Hotel staff were nice and service was prompt nevertheless.
