“Off the beaten track”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

Following previous good reviews, we had a great lunch here. It is tucked away on a side street between the castle and st zano church. But if you are not specifically looking for it, it's easily missed. The owners were really passionate about their food and all their ingredients are fresh and traceable produce. Tastiest meal we had on the trip. Highly recommend if you want to avoid the usual tourist trap.

“Great place for dinner!”
Reviewed 29 October 2013 via mobile

Our apartment rental is around the corner from this restaurant and was recommended by the lady who owned the apartment. We originally came there at 7 but they do not begin serving until 7:30. It was pretty empty at 8 when we arrived so got a table right away. The lady who runs the place was vet friendly and helped with our selections. No English menu. Appetizer for two of various salami type meat with cooked yellow peppers in cheese and a small bowl of cherries and apples marinated in mustard was awesome! Hubbie had pasta carbonara which he loved and I had pork slices with fennel and more apples in mustard. Wonderful. Would go back again but leaving today. Try it out.

“Incredible meal - a must visit!”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

This is a small restaurant tucked away on a side street, that we would not have noticed had it not been recommended by someone at our hotel. The menu is written on a chalk board as it changes every week, and uses only fresh, local ingredients. One gentleman spent time translating the menu for us, and recommended a good wine. The food was amazing, the best meal I had in Italy. Incredibly fresh and flavoursome, and the wine was one of the best I have tasted. The atmosphere is classy yet relaxed, and the staff were friendly and keen to ensure we were well looked after. For two starters, two mains and four glasses of wine we paid 55 EUR - fantastic value!! I cannot recommend this place highly enough - visit if you can!

“Local delight”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

Tried this restaurant on the advice of the B&B owner where we stayed, it was delightful. The owner was friendly and although there was a slight language challenge he was very patient and explained the Menu for us clearly. The food was among the best we had during our stay in Italy and we left very satisfied.

Buonissimo!

“Genuine”
Reviewed 13 August 2013

In a city so full of tourists, like bees to a honey trap, it can be hard to find an eatery with an atmosphere that feels genuine. This is one such place. Service is informal and can even be a little abrupt, but the passion for the food and the proprietors intent to serve their customers is very evident, and they do their utmost to overcome the language barrier.
