Centrally located in the heart of Verona, this hotel answered all my needs! The room was well appointed, very clean and quiet. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dinner in the hotel's dining room was excellent, this night also featured a pre-opera buffet which was perfect for me. The included breakfast was very sumptuous with eggs, meats, cheeses and fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh breads and rolls. Coffee superb and the service impeccable!
No doubt about staying here again!

I stayed here recently for three nights. The hotel is ideally situated, right in the historic centre of Verona. The public rooms are elegantly furnished and my bedroom was well appointed (although the squeezee bottle of shower gel attached to the bathroom wall seemed out-of-place in a hotel of this kind...). The staff were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast buffet was very much as expected - a range of cereals, cold meats and cheese, pastries, etc., although the range of hot food was disappointing (also as expected). The pre-opera buffet dinner was very good.

The hotel is housed in an elegant 15th century building in the heart of historical Verona;the Accademia looks onto the Via Mazzini, the pedestrian shopping street in the heart of Verona. The public rooms are tastefully decorated antique pieces and tapestries giving a luxurious feel to the hotelThe hotel bedrooms are large and very well appointed, with the beds being large and very comfortable. The bathroom was enormous and again well equipped.Tea and coffee making facilities were provided in all bedrooms. The absolutely superb and varied breakfast is also worth mentioning. All the staff were wonderful and always smiling, even waiting up for me to return from the Opera in the early hours of the morning. The main selling point of the hotel is its prime position in the heart of historic Verona, close to the shops and all the historic sites. It is just a few steps away from juliets house with its famous balcony, and also the famous roman arena, venue for the famous open air opera festival in the summer months.A truly wonderful hotel for a short break or special occassion in romantic Verona.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor room overlooking the via mazzini,as this street is closed to traffic.

Slight aura of faded glories about the hotel. Far from shabby but needs sparking up. The single room was fairly basic with a view on to a rather decrepit area although it did have 2 televisions!! It was also a long way from the lift with 2 flights of stairs so let the porter take your luggage ( I said I didn't need one). Having said that, it is very comfortable, there is an enormous selection at breakfast, drink and cakes available all day and staff were very pleasant. The main thing this hotel has going for it is the location, bang in the centre, everywhere is within walking distance which is great when you need to get back from the opera which finished at 1.00am

Stayed here three nights as part of an Opera weekend. Friendly Reception staff and our 'standard' room overlooked the charming courtyard (not accessible to guests unfortunately unless in bedrooms with direct access to it). Tea and coffee making facilities in the room was a pleasent surprise. The bed was comfortable as was the room with a good bathroom. The pre-Opera buffet provided for opera goers was superb! Breakfast was good with charming staff. The only minor negative was the very grumpy barman when on our return from the Opera and noting the bar was still open we asked for a glass of wine each, on asking whether a particular wine was available (nothing too unusual, just a Soave) we were given a curt 'No' in response; but we chose another wine which was available - his attitude was in complete contrast to the rest of the staff who were v friendly and polite. The hotel is positioned superbly a mere two minute stroll to the Arena and not much longer to the piazza L'Herbe in the opposite direction. We would definitely stay in this hotel again should we return to Verona.

The parking lot is two blocks away in basement. You have to ask the staff open the door and is very difficult get in and out. The reception desk stuffs like to argue with customer to make their job function justifiable.

Room Tip: Inconvenient to go anywhere except window shopping by foot in neighborhood

Dear Mr. Charles,
I am very sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay in our property and I kindly ask you to contact me to explain what happened with reception staff (my e-mail address is: direzione@hotelaccademiaverona.it).
Hotel Accademia is situated in the historical centre and is one of the rarest hotels in Verona with a spacious garage just 200 metres from the main building. We chose to escort all guests to our garage in order to guarantee the safety of their own and of all other parked cars.
We understand that it could be inconvenient driving into the city centre but, on the other hand, it offers the opportunity to be near the most important monuments, museums and tourist attractions.
I remain at you complete disposal with
Best Regards

This Hotel has pulled out all stops to make customers feel 'at home'. The Staff are all very helpful and always attend to any request immediately. Breakfast is superb with every conceivable item one could wish for. There is a kettle in the room, but also complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits and cake throughout the day until late afternoon. The Restaurant has an early Buffet meal for Opera goers and a rather limited a la carte menu if preferred.. Location is central to all main attractions within easy flat walking distance. Rooms are decorated in a somewhat dated style but beds very comfortable and bathrooms have a supply of toiletries and slippers. Free WiFi worked very well, also two computers and printers available for guests to use. I look forward to returning.
