We stayed here for 3 nights in early august 2013. It was really central - perfect for the Arena which we wanted, close to the shopping area and with many great restaurants in the nearby in Piazza Bra. We had a very pleasant quiet room with really good, small but modern and very clean bathroom with excellent shower and balcony. The room had air conditioning which was good in nearly 40 degrees c.
The staff could not have been more helpful -breakfast was really almost anything you wanted - and plentiful -great coffee. They ordered a taxi and helped with cases -one slightly disabled person travelling and quite a few stairs to negotiate.
There is also a truly excellent restaurant about 15 meters up the road.
We will definitely go back.

A lovely couple run this very clean & modern B&B in the heart of Verona. It is only a couple of blocks away from the Arena (which I highly recommend seeing an Opera in). Our stay was really enjoyable, it was nice to get out of the heat of the day to our quiet, airconditioned, extremely comfortable room. I would definitely recommend. The only caveat is if you have trouble with stairs this may not be ideal, since it is not on the ground floor & don't believe there was an elevator, but you could always ask. The couple speaks fluent English.

This small but friendly place is very central, right in the centre of Verona, ideal for restaurants and the amphitheatre. We booked a taxi transfer from the airport and so glad we did we would never have found it...even the taxi driver had a little difficultly. Be warned there is no lift to this lovely place its up 3 flights of stairs. The layout of the B&B is all on the one floor and is very modern, nicely decorated. Everything you need, although it would have been nice to have the facilities to make yourself a drink in your room. But if you want to be central for everything this is the place it is just 5 mins from the main square.

Room Tip: all room over look a small side road there is only 3 rooms.

We stayed a few days at Veronantica & chose this spot because it is so close to the arena which was an advantage since we were going to the opera. The room was a good size, modern & clean but no fridge. Staff were very helpful & friendly but did not speak a great deal of english but we managed communicating OK. One piece of advice is to avoid trying to drive to this B&B if you can help it as navigating to it is a nightmare.

Room Tip: There are only 3 rooms & all the same as far as I can tell.

This is a very nice place to stay. You walk around the corner and there is the amphitheatre. The restaurantes in the area are fantastic. The rooms are large, clean and nicely decorated. Margharita is the perfect hostess. The only draw back is dragging luggage up the stairs, but it is well worth it.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night, and we both were very pleased with the choice. It is about as centrally located as it could get, literally 50 metres from the colluseum. We arrived by train and it took us about 20-25 minutes to walk there at a leisurely pace. We had small(ish) rucksacks so it was no problem, but if you are older with cases to wheel then maybe a taxi might be preferable.
As others have said, the B&B is clean and modern, and the bathroom in the room we had was lovely - large for the room with a really good walk-in shower. The matress, duvet and pillows were all particularly nice - much better than at the posh hotel we were staying in in Venice!
Breakfast is contenental style with locally baked croissants (a large selection of types!) and cereals, yoghurts, toast cheese ham etc. - plenty to keep you going.
One of the best things the host did was to recommend to us a fantastic restaurant for our evening meal. Reasonably priced and lovely ambiance, it was a complete gem. It was called the Hostaria la Vecchia Fontanina, about 10 mins walk from the B&B - others have reviewed it on this site and seem to be of the same opinion!

VeronAntica is on the top floor of a residential building which gives you a small insight into local life in Verona. The B&B is extremely clean and modern. The rooms are a little on the small side so don't plan to spend too much time relaxing in the room. Breakfast was simple, but adequate. Verona is a beautiful city and VeronAntica is a great base to explore it from.
