Stayed for 2 nights with friends, the hotel is about 25 mins walk from the centre but that wasnt a problem, they also have a free shuttle bus on an evening, and a taxi is about 10 euros. We stayed in a delux room (they upgraded us for free) which was very modern, the bathroom was gorgeous with a jacuzi bath.
Breakfast was plentyfull and varied.
The hotel has a gorgeous outdoor pool, the only downside is that it doesnt really catch the sun. Appart from that, very plesant hotel and the staff are all friendly and willing to help.

My family and I enjoyed seven nights here. We stayed in a standard room which was large, with good en suite facilities, and cleaned daily with daily linen changes. It is well located for the railway station (great service to Venice and Garda) and a pleasant half hour walk into the centre of Verona. Service buses also stop nearby. A courtesy bus into the city centre is available when the opera is on which was greatly appreciated. A choice of continental fresh food including yoghurts and fruit is available at the buffet breakfasts. We enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool and found all the hotel staff to be really helpful even making a call to check when our taxi was due to return us to Verona Airport.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a City Break to Verona. The hotel is comfortable, clean and welcoming. Situated within walking distance of the Arena, about 30 mins walk, and on a frequent bus route, I found the location to be perfect. We stayed on a B&B basis, the breakfasts were adequate, nothing special but plentiful and fresh. We ate dinner on the first night in the hotel, for convenience, but would not recommend this option. The staff are friendly and helpful, luggage can be left securely after check-out on departure. The hotel has free WiFi but it struggled with demand at peak times.

This is the fifth time I have stayed at this hotel in Verona, and I choose it each time because of its friendliness and location. It is a short bus ride from the centre of Verona, but in the heat of summer, that is a blessing as you are out of the city. Hotel has very good facilities, The outdoor area with sunbeds and a pool are an added bonus on a hot day. If you are going to the opera, the hotel offer a FREE shuttle bus, which is great. Staff are excellent and very helpful and I would choose it everytime. In fact, I'm just about to book it again for 2015 !
Great bar/restaurant opposite which does amazing food. Bus runs every 10 mins from outside hotel into centre of town. Can't get much better !

Beautiful City lots to see and of course a visit to the Arena is a must. However we were just a little disappointed with the San Marco Hotel. When we arrived we felt the Hotel needed a bit of TLC. However the rooms were really clean, the bathroom small but manageable for the two of us . One pillow, however we put the blanket to good use and "hey presto" next day two pillows.... Our biggest disappointment NO TEA /COFFEE making facilities. The breakfast was also not quite up to the usual Continental Breakfast standard, only hot item was scrambled eggs, ,we were not looking for "full English" but a bit of variety, the whole breakfast was lacking from choices . The evening meal on the tourist Menu was again a big disappointment. But the good points were pleasant and helpful staff. Not a Hotel we would go back to. However our Holiday was Great. Thanx again to Jane from Supreme Breaks Chelmsford.

Great hotel for our stay in Verona. 10 mins walk from the sports arena, the focus of our trip. Short taxi ride into Verona, usually 10 euros but did vary. Would probably be half hour walk. Rooms were excellent, with hair dryer, mini fridge & endless towels. Bedding changed every day & staff very helpful in giving advice about local services, venturing out, hotel excursions and looked after luggage on last day for free. Couldnt av been more helpful. Breakfast good choice of food, continental style but included boiled or scrambled eggs. Fab outdoor pool as well as indoor one & gym also available.

Just arrived back after spending 5 days at the hotel. We had booked a duluxe room which was exactly as pictured on the website. The room was 27m plenty big enough. The bathroom had a rainfall shower with body jets with the addition of a jacuzzi bath lit by green lights which was cool! King size bed clean sheets and towels every day and the cleaning was spot on. We asked the manager when we checked in at 11pm if we could upgrade to a balcony room and while these were full he said to check with reception the following morning. When we checked after breakfast the manager had left a note with the receptionist on duty and we were upgraded free of charge. Our balcony room overlooked the hotel's outdoor pool which by the way is not small as one reviewer posted and there were plenty of sun loungers. Breakfast is continental but includes cereals cakes pastries fruit boiled eggs yogurts bread jams boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. Tea coffee and fruit juice are also served along with biscuits. Tablecloths with linen napkins made a nice change from some of the paper ones at other hotels. Our friends stayed at a hotel closer to the arena and were only offered a croissant jam and a cup of coffee. We knew how far the hotel was from the center as its clearly recorded on the website it took approx 30 minutes to walk.
We booked the San Marco as it was only ten minutes away from the sports center the main reason for our trip. There is a restaurant and tobacconist across the road from the main entrance and a Chinese restaurant around the corner. Chinese restaurant is not so good. The hotel stored our cases all day free of charge as our flight was early evening and kindly booked our taxi for us. Free Wifi and ethernet are a bonus good signal strength. We paid 2euro city tax per night for the room which was quoted on our invoice so no surprises. I don't usually write reviews but some of the negative reviews are harsh. I would definitely book this hotel again. Thank you to the staff.

Room Tip: I would recommend the duluxe room with balcony - there are other rooms but I didn't see any of t...
