“Old Town, modern hotel with a lot of charm”
Reviewed 29 September 2012

Very nice room, with a huge bed, decorated with taste and a lot of care. The hotel is a mix of tradition and modernity. The lobby is quite impressively decorated in a very modern style, contrasting with a location in the Old Town, and rooms decorated in a rather traditional style.

Palazzo Victoria is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of Verona just behind the 2000 year old Roman built stone gate entrance to the city. We stayed there two nights and from the moment we arrived the staff was tremendously attentive and helpful. The hotel room we stayed in was large and very well laid out with plenty of room and a veranda. The hotel atmosphere was very hip but yet not rushed. The Victoria is built atop ancient ruins and in the hotel lobby bar and restaurant there are glass floors to view these ruins. The front desk manager personally escorted us to dinner both nights to make sure that we found our restaurant and that we were seated at a nice table....this was a very personal touch that made our evenings more enjoyable.
In summary; great center city location, wonderful room and terrific service at the Palazzo Victoria...I highly recommend this hotel in Verona!

Stayed three nights at the Palazzo Victoria and had an absolutely amazing stay. It's a really lovely hotel (beautiful building with a exquisite restoration) with great service all round. I would like to pick out the concierge and reception services as being outstanding and wonderfully friendly. All the advice and recommendations they gave were first class. We were recommended restaurants that totally exceeded our expectations (and that's difficult!). We didn't know the city and were in a party of eight on a week long intensive "photo-seminar" taking in Venice and Verona with a visit to Guiseppe Quintarelli's vineyard in Negrar.

My wife and I had the opportunity to spend time in Verona for our anniversary. We stayed at Verona's best hotel, the Palazzo Victoria. From the time we were picked up at the airport and entered the hotel we were treated like royalty. All of the staff and management were so helpful. They got us to our locations every time and made us feel so wonderful. The hotel is a very unique place located at the historical entry of city under Roman ruins. The history of the hotel is so rich and they have done such a great job mixing the feel of a star-5 hotel with the ancient world. We highly recommend this hotel and know that you will not be disappointed if you chose Palazzo Victoria

We visited the Palazzo Victoria at the recommendation of friends and found it equal if not better than their rave review. Lovely rooms and fantastic attention to detail since it was refurbished a few months ago. Everyone was attentive and courteous, the breakfast offer was outstanding. Well worth the extra few Euros or Pounds .....especially as you are in the middle of the ancient part of the city....We will be back, Tim and Sue Prior

Room Tip: We were in room 206 with its own (candle lit) private balcony.....very atmospheric indeed....

The decor is incredible but the staff service even better. The breakfast buffet is the most impressive I've seen and it's the first coffee that comes close to what it should be in Italy. Great funky bars and lounge areas with views of the ancient ruins below make the Palazzo a truly unique place to stay.
