“Quiet boutique property”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

This is a small historic property in an excellent part of Verona
that is convenient to everything.
There wasnt any real views from this hotel but was quiet and clean.
Bathroom was large but would have liked a larger shower.
The staff was very helpful to any of our needs.
The breakfast was exceptional.
Would definitely stay again if we get back to Verona.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for reported us your experience at Palazzo Victoria as nice for staff organization, services offered and location.
I'm only sorry to know that the bathroom in the room you chose was slightly smaller than hoped: each of our rooms is unique, each one different from the other in order to preserve the uniqueness that sets us apart. For this reason, the location of the spaces themselves may vary slightly.
Despite of this little aspect, thank you again for your nice comment.
I extend my best wishes in the hope of being able to get you back soon as guest in Verona.
Greetings,
Giusy Loro

Located at a very good location for shopping and strolling, this boutique hotel excels in terms of room space and luxurious accommodations. The receptionist staff are friendly although their porter service could be more efficient.
Their laundry services are done externally thus sometimes there is a weary feeling that it may not make your packing schedule and could be a last minute delivery. Given the class and status of this hotel - they should have such services in-house.
The breakfast is superb.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the small street entrance can be noisy during the rush hour.... try another side.

A lovely long-weekend in Verona; and the Palazzo Victoria is a good, clean, centrally located hotel. Staff are all friendly and check-in/out quick and efficient. All the taxi drivers know of this hotel so getting a taxi from/to the airport is easy. Breakfast buffet is good and a mix of Italian/American foodstuffs. Rooms tasteful in beige and white.
A few tweaks however would improve this hotel considerably: Our Junior Suite was more of a large-double and only contained one small armchair and no coffee table. Also given that this place is mostly catering to middle-aged Brits/Germans/French, turning off the ultra-loud techo-music in the bar and indeed at breakfast would be a great improvement. Speaking of which some rooms overlook a nice courtyard that contains the bar's outdoor smoking area...the smell is dreadful.
Staff were, as I have said, friendly - but watch out! On the first night and tired from flying, upon asking for a local restaurant dinner recommendation they insisted that they should make a reservation for us as restaurants would be full, before directing to the nearby 12 Apostles . A complete tourist trap, indeed a nearly empty tourist trap apart from another two tables sent by our hotel, serving dull food and with an interesting literary connection, at 100Euros per person. Not an Italian to be seen. This rather soured our relationship with the front desk and the hotel generally.

I have been staying at this hotel before they had a new owner and after a rest of 2 years (
I was giving the hotel time to recover & move into 5 stars, level ). )To my surprise, only the price
was 5 stars and the standard remains at 4 stars. The room ,they gave me was a very old room,
which they promised to change as soon as they can but nothing was done even , after I had asked for , rooom change for 5 times. The only thing new was the breakfast and breadfast
was truly nice except for broken tea-pots. People were nice esp the assistant manager,Mr Alberto Melita from sicily. He & his team really work hard to make everything possible , atleast
for breakfast. The quality of the tea was really good and Alberto tries his best to make me feel
comfortable. Next year, I will be back to check, I hope by then the quality of the rooms will change. It is very sad to see a whole restuarants team trying VERY hard and the management not doing their part of the investments.

Room Tip: Pls ask to see yr room before U checked in.

In spite off a quite unpleasant reception team, no hello, no goodbye one really wonders why.
All other staff perfect, kind and helpfull. The food proposal both for meals and breakfast is not up to it, most items are deep frozen and of industrial origin, eat elsewhere, Verona has plenty good restaurants. Excellent location, very nice hotel with very "osé" decor. Rooms are perfectly appointed, nothing is missing, towels are more than plentiful, overall a good choice in hotel-poor Verona.

Room Tip: Ask for courtyard view.

Verona is Italy's most vibrant city and the Palazzo Victoria, a renovated, former Roman Villa is maybe just the best hotel I've stayed in for a long time. It's a little bi tucked away in a side street by the Borsari Gate in the city centre. The rooms are huge, 10, maybe 11m ceiling height. The staff are genuinely helpful and friendly and I think that the restauant, Borsari 36 is just possibly the best hotel restaurant I've ever eaten in. Service isn't quick because they cook everything from scratch but you should try this hotel when you visit Verona and you should visit Verona before you die
