“Shame about the building work”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

Nicely furnished clean hotel. Impressive bathroom but with the a very small badly designed shower. I'm quite slim and it was small for me. Food excellent including dinner although rather expensive. The menu is also quite limited. The restaurant is fine for breakfast but is very much a breakfast room with not much atmosphere for dinner.

Centrally located and ideal for sightseeing.

The big drawback is there is building/renovation work in the adjacent building which was supposed to run from 8am to 7pm but actually started before 7.30am one day. Site was less than 10 metres from our room window.

Room Tip: Avoid building work

Spent just one night at this beautiful hotel -wish it could have been more! It was quite difficult to find amongst the one way system despite having satnav but once there it was totally relaxing. Beautifully decorated through out and the room was stunning. Very elegant with excellent facilities. Wifi worked seamlessly. Lovely bathroom and products. Excellent and extensive breakfast. There was a letter in the room advising of potential noise from building work but as we stayed on a Friday night this was not a problem. Staff were very efficient and obliging.
The hotel is very well situated for sightseeing. Lots to see within easy walking distance and there is also a hop on/hop off sight seeing tour for seeing the main sights in other parts of the city with bus stops nearby.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff who were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately there were building works going on (next door) and the noise was too much for our first room / night. We requested to move and the staff were very accommodating / understanding / helpful and moved us (into a slightly larger room) straight away and we were not disturbed by the builders any longer. Beautiful spacious, air conditioned rooms and the Jacuzzi baths were a treat. The hotel is located 5 minutes (walking distance) from the centre of Verona (Piazza Delle Erbe & Piazza Bra) which was perfect for us. Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would happily recommend this hotel and city to other couples.

Really excellent - central to everything to see in Verona. Lovely bar & common areas tastefully restored & incorporating the Roman walls & foundations exposed via glass flooring. Tea & Coffee complimentary in the afternoon etc.. The only criticism we would make is that the shower was not as huge as our other hotels this time but generally really impressive.

We reached the hotel following other tripadvisor recommendation, and for our honeymoon - this hotel was selected.

our first impression of the hotel that it was CLEAN and tidy. You can feel the great aircondition right from the lobby (which is quite a feature since all of verona's attraction fail to have one, even in 41c). the lobby contains free bottles of still and sparkling water bottles for anyone to take, free coffee and tea, today's newspapers and nice couches to sit and relax.

The breakfast has a buffee with fruits, assorment of bakery and all types of ham. there were also cereals, milk and drinks. The chef will prepare you any kind of eggs u'd like and with any topping (bacon/mushrooms/ect). We ordered room service, which was accompanied with fresh bakery. very tasty. free of charge.

The room was quite big. we read reviews about a construction outside of the hotel, and unfortunatly - we were in a room right infront of it. Surprisingly enough - we didn't experience any disturbance due to it. probably the double glass window blocked any noise. upon the desk there was a hand-written greeting card welcoming us to the city of verona and an apology for the construction outside (again, wasnt really noticed).

The room is cleaned twice a day and they keep equiping it with two mineral water bottles on each nightstand. the closed has two bathrobes and tea kit. used them, no charge :). Bathroom was kept impeccable CLEAN, has a bide, hair drier, ect. The beds are comfy, room has cable TV with SKY-Italy and free wifi. our only complaint that the wi-fi coverage in the room was dodgy. you had to reconnect sometimes.

A lovely, well located hotel. The check-in was the quickest we had in our recent trips. We were in our room pretty quickly. The room was on the third floor and it had a big roof top balcony with chairs table and a big parasol, and it was very pleasant to have a coffee in the morning with the sun coming up and the lovely smell of jazmin from the climbing plants. This particular room (308) was very small, but that is what we chose as it was a very reasonable price with the ba flights. The room had everything you needed, basically the two more important things, a nice bed, lovely sheets, coffee and tea facilities and a safe. The bathroom was very big, with a great shower, (perfect water pressure) and very good quality toiletries. Bathrobes and slippers. Good big towels. The staff at breakfast was very nice, friendly and efficient, and the breakfast itself is very good, fresh fruits, meats and cheese, and bakery and the best poached eggs I have had in years.
The location of the hotel is very good, very central and you can walk around. It takes 20 - 25 minutes to walk to the train station if you want to go and explore somewhere else. Finally we had a couple of cocktails in the bar and those were very good. We had a very lovely and relaxing week, in a beautiful city. Fully recommend it.

Room Tip: Try and get a bigger room rather than the cheaper ones as they are very small.
