This hotel is well located, being a few minutes walk from the arena and also the train station. The rooms are fairly small but well maintained and clean. Perfectly adequate if all you need is somewhere to crash in the evening.

Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection of good quality items served buffet style. Hotel staff were very helpful.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a short stay in Verona. You may want a bit more space if you will be in town for a week or more.

If all you need is a bed, bathroom and decent breakfast, then this is fine. Small box rooms, but you can't fault the location, just in front of Piazza Bra. You can even park your car, at a price (15 euros a night). The hotel front is so low key you'll probably walk straight past it.

This hotel is in a good location, midway between the train station and the center of town. There are a couple small bars and some fast food places close by, but it's a couple blocks to the main eating areas.

Our room was furnished in a modern style - very clean, reasonable amount of room, had a nice desktop area and two chairs if you are working or using a laptop. Lots of space for bags, etc. Good bed. Service on the front desk was very pleasant and efficient. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Nice big door to the balcony which could be opened as a door (swing on hinges) or swung in from the top for ventilation. Or, the balcony had an electric shutter which could be closed altogether, although the curtains blocked the light just fine.

The only negative was that the street is very busy and even with the window shut, we could hear the street as well as people in the adjoining rooms. I always pack earplugs for places like this, but even so I found this room noisy. There is an open market on Saturday mornings which means many large trucks arrive in the wee hours to set up.

Room Tip: Next time, I would ask for a room not facing the street

The Hotel Verona is a stones throw from the old city walls, just outside them really and has a road 'frontage' of about 1-2,shops. The décor is modern minimalist with lots of glass & neutral colours.
On our arrival, late in the evening, the Reception desk was manned by a very helpful, friendly & informative guy, who spoke very good English. He ably assisted us with out various questions and informed us that there was water in the mini bar in the room (2 small 330ml bottles of still & sparkling, so no issue if you both would like the same type!) Although there was no bar in the hotel, literally 20metres away from the front door of the hotel is a small friendly & reasonable bar… called the Green Bar.

The Verona Opera Arena is on the other side of the city walls from the hotel. Very close by & the helpful guy at check in gave us a map of Verona & a leaflet of the Arena with the ticket prices & seating map…

The rooms we had were modern minimalistic too, again lots of glass & neutral colours... our rooms had a small balcony over looking the Main Street. The double glazing was very good & as our rooms were on the top floor, this meant that any sound/noise didn't bother us.
The bathroom was well laid out in a linear fashion. However there was only solid soap & a couple of bottles of shampoo but there was a shower cap & plenty of towels but no conditioner, liquid soap or body lotion etc.
The only criticism we had was the hardness if the beds, however, all the beds I've slept in in Italy suffer from being this hard. I've concluded it's the way they like their beds in this part of the world! Although a foam topper or something like this would really have been appreciated! Air-con cooled well but could probably benefit from a change of filters and the only thing that really surprised us for a modern hotel was the lack of spy hole in door…

Breakfast in the morning was very good indeed... the breakfast room is on the '-1' floor, it’s light & airy, considering it's in the basement, with a wall of window, which lets in plenty of natural light, so you don’t really notice it’s location. There was lovely fresh fruit, plenty of cereals, cold meats & cheese, juices, coffee & tea (including green tea) that you could help yourself to or there were waiting staff there that would make you an espresso, cappuccino etc.

In Sept 2013, a taxi from airport was €34, for 4 adults with 4 pieces of luggage at about 10pm on Friday eve. I say all this as the number of passengers & bags, as well as the time of the day & even which day (e.g. if a Bank holiday or a Sunday etc) can affect the price of the taxi.
All in all I would definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: request the top floor if noise concerns you...

Found this hotel on booking.com very cheap and not to far from the airport right in the city centre! Loads of places to eat and drink and right next door to the arena. Room was clean perfect wifi connection for free abs breakfast was nice. Would book again.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night and it is located very close to the centre of Verona.

The room was clean and decorated in a modern style. The hotel had some bicycles to use free of charge to cycle round Verona, which we greatly enjoyed. Saying that, the bicycles were old looking, could have done with a service and the pedals and brakes needed attention on some of them.

The room had a Jacuzzi bath. Very luxurious you might think! However, less than 48 hours after using the Jacuzzi bath, I came down with a severe bladder infection, with a high fever, pain and vomiting. My wife, who didn’t use the Jacuzzi bath, was absolutely fine. I contacted the hotel on several occasions to ask them to test the jaccuzi bath pipes for bacteria, but they failed to respond to my emails. The bladder infection completely ruined my holiday and I did not recover from it for more than 2 weeks. To have zero response from the hotel in the circumstances was unacceptable and shows a complete lack of regard for the health of their guests.

Room Tip: Ask for a non Jacuzzi Room!

Stayed 1 night in a small but comfortable room - air-con on the blink unfortunately. Very helpful staff, free loan bikes were sensational for getting around, nice breakfast. Good location. Would return.
