Hotel Torcolo is an excellent small establishment just around the corner from the main piazza where the Roman Arena is located. (Piazza is great for a late afternoon beer and people watching). The hotel is clean, my room was spacious for one person. There are good, moderately priced restaurants nearby. The staff is terrififc, especially Caterina, who even secured my boarding passes for my very early morning return flight. They can answer any question and make great restaurant recommendations; the restaurant attached to the hotel is a bit more upscale. Breakfast in the courtyard was substantial and who could argue with the setting. I would definitely go back.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights at the beginning of May. We loved the location which was perfect for walking to the sights around the old section of Verona and to the many restaurants that were close by. The hotel itself was small, but our room on the top floor was large and had a king size bed. The room decor was basic and very clean. There was some street noise, but I was able to sleep fine. The WiFi was easy to use. The staff was friendly and helpful with many tips for sightseeing. We arrived by train and weren't sure whether to walk or to take a bus, but we decided to take a taxi and were glad we did. This is a nice two star hotel, very clean, and has a great location.

If you on a solo travel or romantic vacation under tight budget I would suggest this one very much, the owner are very nice people, they got parking solutions in the canter of the city included (they give you parking card and you dont need to pay at the machines) few steps from few of the best point of interest in Verona, Basically super location if you out there to explore Verona to the fullest without spending too much..

Good Value for your money.

Room Tip: I think they are all the same ..

This hotel is ideally placed for touring the city and is very easy to yet to either from the airport or the train station. FROM airport take shuttle bus which drops you off at station the same ticket (6 Euros) can then be used to get to piazza bra where hotel is located.
Our room (36) was very clean and had a bath rather han shower as requested to soak away the aches and pains after our bus days walking miles.
The downside of our room was that the window over looked a side street of dustbins which were promptly emptied every morning at about 7. This isn't the proprietor's fault and in our experience most city centre hotels are noisy by nature of being central.
Breakfast was simple but sufficient , cereal, yoghurt, breads, croissants and scrambled eggs with tea or coffee.
As with lots of small European hotels there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room again not a problem for us.
Caterina, in reception, along with all the staff was very pleasant, helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: If light sleeper try and get room not backing onto side streets.

I stayed at the Torcolo for 3 nights with my 9 year old daughter, the hotel is wonderfully located, the staff were all marvellous, very friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean and the rooms very comfortable and wonder of wonders the wifi worked beautifully (which cannot be said of many hotels). I would not hesitate to recommend the Torcolo and I would definately stay here again myself. Such a good hotel make a holiday so much more enjoyable so thank you very much.

Great little hotel centrally located to the center of the historic area. It's about 25 minute walk from the train station. We grabbed a cab because it was raining, which was about 12 Eyros. The hotel staff was friendly. Nice breakfast with coffee and eggs to order.
