Nice hotel. We were there for Juliette and Romeo half marathon, so hotel was close to Expo, start area and finish area as well. Close to railway station and not far from main tourist objects. Staff advised a very nice and cosy restaurant with reasonable price.

We stayed at Hotel Scalzi for two nights in January. The hotel is amazing; our courtyard room was beyond compare. Breakfast was traditional Italian hotel style, with fresh bread, pastries, cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs and more, the perfect combination to fuel up for a day of sightseeing.

We walked from the train station to the hotel in 10 minutes and from the hotel to the centre of the old town in 15.

Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

This small hotel that stands 10 minutes walk away from the centre of Verona, is a fine choise if you want to experience a traditional staying . The buffet of the breakfast is simple and outstanding and everyone that works there really healpful. The only thing is that my room was extremely small.

Dear Irene S,

thank you. Yes, the single rooms are quite small, next time specify it and we will try to give you a double room single use.

Best regards from all of us!

We were staying in Verona for one night during a 5 day trip and booked into Hotel Scalzi due to good reviews on trip adviser. A few days before arriving I messaged to say we would be arriving several hours before check in and to see whether it was possible to drop off our bags which they messaged back promptly to say was no problem. When we arrived around 10am we were greeted by a warm and genuinely friendly welcome and told our rooms may be ready and after the lady quickly checked we were told that they were and handed the keys which we were highly impressed with. The rooms were clean, well presented and had a very comfortable bed. The hotel is a legitimate 10 minute walk from Piazza Bra and the same distance from the train station. Both are found via extremely easy routes. The lady at the hotel pointed out the main routes and attractions to us on a map and was extremely pleasant and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was the usual continental style and I really liked the room it was served in. I have reccomended this hotel to family of mine who are planning to visit Verona and we will definitely be back to both Verona and Hotel Scalzi.

We had two nights at Hotel Scalzi in December just before Christmas. Super Hotel and great location walkable from the train station and yet close to everything in the centre.
Perfect location for exploring Verona, Lovely breakfast and super rooms with amazing wifi speed and lovely big shower room. The children loved the Zika channel and the chess set on the mezzanine level was a great hit. The family were very welcoming and pointed our all the interesting sites on the map.

Room tip: we were at the back of the hotel very quiet
