This hotel was recommended by friends. Highly convenient, close to everything. Excellent staff who recommended excellent restaurants.
We upgraded to balcony room and were very glad as sat on balcony to have lunch, an evening drink. Rooms aren't large but well maintained. Spotlessly clean.thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Verona

Thanks,

Recommended. Nice room and good breakfast. Location was awesome :)

Definitely come back again in the future.

Only problem was that the wifi didn't work during out stay but other than that, definitely no problems at all.

Sorry for the wifi connection, which didn't work very well: at least we hope we've solved the problem!
Thank you again!

Stated a night at this charming hotel in the heart of Verona. Room was well appointed and we were offered and accepted the upgrade to a room with a balcony for €15. Was worth it. Hotel is located next door to the Arena, the staff was wonderful, and met all our needs. Thank you!!

It was our second stay, and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. Sincere thanks to the hotel staff for their courtesy and kindness, professional service and warm welcome.

The hotel is ideal for everyone visiting the beautiful city of Verona, and offers much more than you might expect from a three star hotel in a perfect location with plenty of amenities. The breakfast is served in a cozy inner courtyard, each morning we awoke to the heavenly smell of freshly baked brioches… delicious!

Soggiorno piacevole e rilassante, consigliato!

On a recent trip through Italy that included a short stay in Verona, my parents and I enjoyed our stay at Giulietta e Romeo Hotel--my mother's choice of where to stay, thanks to Frommer's and Shakespeare. When we arrived by taxi, we were offered and accepted a room upgrade at 40 euros per night. That upgrade, while expensive by American standards, gave my parents a bedroom separate from mine; it was a nice change after sleeping in the same room in Rome and in Florence. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The shower was a bit smaller in floor area than the one in Rome, but a week in Italy is more than enough time to learn the art and science behind the minimalist shower technique. The front desk staff were helpful at every turn, and those who ran the breakfast the service never allowed food and drink options to run out before the end of the morning schedule. Everything was as fresh as expected, while the hot items were kept hot and the cold items were kept cold. I do not recall if they had sliced bread available for toasting, but that would have been the norm for hotels in Italy. With G & R, as with the other hotels where we stayed, we eventually came to want hot cereal (oats) as part of breakfast, but that would not be the norm in Italy I think. However, for those who are putting their stomachs through the Italian Challenge, the stewed prunes and cereal were a welcome sight.

If you stay there, you should be aware that this hotel does not make an iron and ironing board available to guests--instead charging for pressing service if it is that important to you. Reluctantly, I chose to do without that since I have never paid to have my clothes simply ironed and do not plan to start.

Finally, this hotel is in a perfect location for seeing Verona on foot and taxi drivers are, of course, familiar with the place in case you need to get to and from the train station or elsewhere. One more thing: among the staff, there is at least one fan of Route 66 and Jack Daniels. Something along the lines of either would be appreciated. So, if you're from the U.S., be a good ambassador by showing up with a gift.

Room Tip: This place is in a quiet little alley just off the main pedestrian/shopping area, so you will have a...

Dear Sir, I'm happy to read your feedback on TripAdvisor (after the kind e-mail you sent us on May 30th, 2014), so thank you :-)
We appreciate your clear comment about the rooms, the buffet breakfast and our service, so hope to welcome you again!

Elisa and all the staff

P.S.1: You're right, we have our ironing-service and don't permit to our guests to iron in the rooms, but just for security reasons.

P.S.2: Tonight I'm going to meet my colleague Stefano, the night porterer: for sure I'm going to tell him about your e-mail and Route 66 :-)

We really liked this place. Very good breakfast, close to the roman arena. The hotel encouraged to go the Romeo and Juliet rock opera that was on. Was really good, and a few meters walk from the hotel. The hotel is very close to the historical land marks. Just walk and soak it up. We also enjoyed the monumental cemetery. The hotel is immaculately maintained. The safe attended to everything we requested and followed through to ensure satisfaction. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed 3 nights and were upgraded to a better room for only 50 euros. I don't know what the...

Thank you, Sirs! We are happy you liked your stay at our hotel in a room on 4th floor.
I felt you appreciated our suggestion to watch "Romeo e Giulietta", the musical in Arena: I'm happy to have been useful :-)
So, we are glad you were satisfied about everything and hope to welcome you one more time!

The hotel condition, cleanliness, and staff were all excellent, as was the breakfast. The hotel is very convenient to all the walking areas of Verona. And as an unexpected bonus, we get an email greeting every Christmas and Easter wishing us a happy holiday. When we go back to Verona, we will absolutely stay at the Giulietta e Romeo Hotel!
