“Good hotel in an excellent location. We'd stay again.”
Reviewed 4 June 2011

We stayed here for one night during a fourteen-day (seven-hotel) trip.

We found it to be modern and newly renovated. Better than some more expensive places we'd stayed elsewhere. Great location, just a block from the arena and an easy walk from the other main sites. (There are several city buses that run from the train station to the centre, where this hotel is.) Smallest room of the trip, but nicely decorated and with a large shower. The bed was by far the most comfortable on our trip. Nice breakfast. Free wifi. Could even see the top of the arena from our room.

As an added treat, this was the first place we'd stayed that had signs around the neighborhood pointing the way to the hotel. Not that it was a hard place to find, but we thought that was cute.

It sounds like not all the rooms in the hotel have been renovated. Check what you're getting.

Hotel is ideally located around the corner from the colosseum. We were upgraded for free to an newly furnished room. Breakfast was ok. Overall happy with our choice, with very reasonable price for location.

Only negative was when we called concierge for wi fi they said they would deliver login details to the room which never happened

Room Tip: Ask for upgrade to an renovated room

We stayed 3 nights over a long weekend and were happy with our choice. The hotel's main strengths are its unbeatable location while on a quiet street, very courteous and friendly staff, large clean rooms with comfy beds and bedding and a very reasonable price: 130 euros per night for the two of us including a decent breakfast (reserved through trip advisor). There were a couple of quirky things like the coloured disco lights in the shower that were a bit surprising but made us laugh (and try out some Travolta moves), the high tech light switches that took a while to figure out and were unforgiving if you pressed the wrong one (all spotlights on in the middle of the night) but these are what fun memories are made of. We would return and recommend it.

Although the location of the hotel is good, we were in a classic room which was not very good. The wallpaper is peeling of the walls and furniture is old and can look dirty. The hotel was executive rooms which are the ones shown in their brochure and I imagine these are nice, however the classic room are not. We mentioned to receiption about our room they initially weren't very helpful but after some discussion that moved us to another classic room - which was bigger but still a bit shabby.
Breakfast was ok and the breakfast staff were helpful. A good location but I wouldnt stay here again

I chose this hotel based on location, that it had a hair dryer and safe in the room, and also that breakfast was included. This hotel has been updated, and is modern, but unfortunately we didn't get a modern updated room. Our room was spacious however, and it was the biggest room we had in Italy during our stay. The street is quiet, and quite lovely, and close to everything you would want to see in Verona. It is just a short walk to Piazza Bra and the Arena, Juliet's Courtyard, and Piazza Erbe. The staff recommended great restaurants for us to dine at during our stay. Breakfast was wonderful....lots of different pastries and tarts, and this was the only breakfast where we found eggs and bacon (typical in America.) The cappuccino was excellent, and was real (not from an automated machine.) I enjoyed this hotel overall.

The hotel is spitting distance from the Roman arena & an easy walk to everything else you'd want to see in a really beautiful city, so location wise its perfect and great value for money. Check in staff were speedy & polite & breakfast, of which there was a good selection, was included in the price.
Down side was the room, which while clean was dated & a little bit tatty. Looks like the hotel is currently refurbishing its rooms as the website only shows the new ones, but unfortunately I can only comment on the room we received. I assume we were given 1 of the lesser rooms because we were only staying 1 night, but it still rankles to think we probably paid the same price for it as those people staying in new refurbished rooms. I'd recommend asking for one of the new rooms if booking this hotel.

This hootels lies almost on top of the arena, just 10 min away by taxi (which cost about 8 euros for two people with two peaces of luggage). The room was a bit small, but very clean and modern. Great breakfast buffet where the staff will make any kind of coffe you want. Highly recommend this hotel!
