This hotel is clean and the rooftop terrace is lovely but missing a bar. The staff were mostly tired. The breakfast, average. Jams in Tupperware tubs don't really float my boat. More focused on German guests. The coffee is dreadful. Air conditioning is controlled by reception. It just strikes me that everything in this hotel is done to save money. It's like a uk travel lodge. Functional and cheapish. The bus into the city is 2 euros and they come at regular intervals. The hotel provided a timetable which was helpful. My opinion. If you want a cheap place outside the city choose it with low expectations. If I went back to Verona (which I will) I certainly would not return. I'd pay the premium to be in the city and enjoy italian living.

The positives are that the communal areas are pretty, modern and clean. The air con downstairs is great.

Not to be repeated for me.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Verona. The hotel was very nice and our room was very comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful with a large shower. Although a 30 minute walk to city centre, the bus is nearby and easy to navigate to and from city centre. If attending the opera the hotel offers a shuttle for a fee. If returning after 8:00 pm, a taxi back to the hotel was 6.70 euros. The rooftop patio is very nice and offers a hot tub with city views.

the price is too high for this kind of hotel. manager of the hotel decided that our booked rooms might be changed to the apartments in the next standing room - and we were not said about it beforehand (just on our arrival). in the morning you can hear people walking on the upper floor. the water is leaking all night long with terrible noise. breakfast is awful!! nothing to eat at all

As I was having problems finding a room for a reasonable price in Verona for the weekend when there were 2 premiers at the Arena I decided to look for one a little outside the centre and I was really happy that I did so. The Hotel is not far from the centre by car and there is also a bus service but we opted for a taxi which only cost 10 euro. In the evenings of the opera they also have a shuttle bus which was ideal.
The hotel itself is extremely modern, also the rooms, which are large and comfortable. There is also a roof garden with loungers and Jacuzzi. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast had plenty to offer. It is in a very quiet area and after a day exploring Verona it was an ideal place to retire to. There is also a very good Italian restaurant a few minutes walk from the hotel and parking is free. Ideal place for a long weekend.

We arrived at the hotel mid-afternoon and the lady on reception was business like but not welcoming - I am often amazed that these people work in tourism and hospitality. The room that we were given had a bathroom with facilities for disabled people so we asked for a normal room, only to be told there was none available. However, early next morning we had no hot water in the bathroom for our showers so I went to reception and a different lady immediately transferred us to another room and this was before the room service people had even started - go figure that out.
Apart from that incident, this is a modern hotel with unusual room décor that is quite striking. There is secure parking in the basement and it is only a 10min bus ride to Piazza Bra in the middle of Verona. There is no restaurant in the hotel but a large restaurant straight across the road would cater adequately for most people and we enjoyed our dinner there.
The breakfast room is light and airy and quite different from normal in decor in a nice way and the breakfast itself was good. Again, as people left the breakfast room each morning on the two mornings we were there, nobody came and cleared the tables so all the tables had a mess of used plates and cutlery on them which is a bit unusual. However, we enjoyed the hotel as it is modern and quiet but the organisation need a bit of tweaking to enhance the tourist experience.

We stayed at this hotel after booking a deal from Travelzoo. The hotel was easy to get to by bus but a little distance from the town centre (25 minute walk). The hotel is located in a residential area. We caught the bus from the airport which runs every 20 minutes and costs 6euros. Tickets are purchased from the machine before boarding the bus. It takes about 20 minutes to the station in town. From there you can catch either the 21 (week days) or 92 (weekends and nights). The hotel is the 3rd stop after the station. On arrival we were offered an up grade for another 10 euros. We looked at the room booked and the upgrade room, which was very nice but we stayed with the room originally booked as it had a balcony. The room was tired but very clean, large and comfortable. However the bathroom seemed to have been refurbished but as usual with hotel bathrooms there was very little space for toiletries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was limited. You needed to be down early to a better choice - nothing hot. The hotel has a lovely roof garden and a great indoor area where you can sit and relax. The buses back into town run regularly and the stop is just across the road from the hotel. The 21 stops outside castlevecchio and the 92 stops in Piazza Bra here you can also catch the 510 and 51. All stop outside the hotel. You can buy a book of 10 tickets from the tobacconists. We only went back in to Verona for one evening due to the distance, however there are a couple of restaurants near the hotel. Both offer reasonable priced meals. If you turn left outside on Via Scuderlando and walk for about 1km you will find more bars, shops and restaurants. If you turn right on Via Scuderlando you will find the Grotto restaurant and the a bank with an ATM.

Room Tip: We had room 106 which was large and clean with a balcony.
