This restaurant, just off the Piazzetta Pescheria is wonderful. The main event is the cured ham in all its glorious incarnations. The service was just so warm and friendly! And the food! My appetizer was a plate of white asparagus, hard boiled egg and prosciutto. You know a restaurant that cares where the yolk of the egg is closer to orange than yellow. Expensive quality vs. industrial production. As a main I had a feast of more prosciutto with assorted blue cheeses and a sweet compote of raisons. The capable house Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso was a delightful dance partner (and I normally don't care for ripasso style wines ... too ripe).

I know I am gushing but I just adored this restaurant. By no means expensive for the quality.

For a restaurant called Prosciutteria you expect to have exceptional cold cuts, especially because Italian ones are so famous.
Well, that is exactly the main problem of this restaurant: a large variety of prosciutto cotto, or crudo, or speck, but none of them as good as they would like to be. Nothing, nothing exceptional. Seriously, the little grocery store next to my house have better prosciutto.
Also the primi dishes are disappointing and far from being something you remember.

It is a little restaurant, little place inside BUT very EXCELLENT dishes, out of the normal and tedious most restaurant kitchen . Cost is not so expensive. Good first course and desserts. They change menu all seasons and use seasonal ingredients. It is my FIRST choice when coming to Verona.

We went here for lunch on our day in Verona. The restaurant is located near the river and close to the bridge Ponte Nuevo.

Great outdoor seating in the street with a great atmosphere. It was raining but all the seating was under the brick roof.
Our waiter was alone on work this day and with several guests he was very busy.. The wait didn't do anything and when the ham, cheese and wine came it was worth the wait! Big platters with a lot of everything.
The pasta and other dishes we had for lunch were all very good and the value and the service is excellent.

Highly recommended for your lunch - and you have to try their ham and cheese plates!

We ate lunch. Big platters of all different typles of hams. Prosciutteria.
Served with somne decent-ish bread. Good salad. Attentive service, pleasant modern surroundings in a basement. Waiter seemed genuinely interested in making sure that we were happy with the wine pairing. Verona is a beautiful Romano-medieval city nestling in the bend of a river.
