Just returned from a w/e in Verona and what a gem to find the Sanzenetto B&B near the San Zeno area. The hosts are perfect, the B&B a delight in a quiet street and I couldn't fault the hospitality that Chantel and Maria showed us. From the moment we arrived they couldn't have been more helpful. We were given maps of the city centre with a lovely walking route to all the main sites. The B&B is a 5 min walk from the Castlevecchio along the river. You can easily walk around the city if fit to do so. The blue room we booked was lovely, plenty of storage space, a tiny balcony and good size en-suite bathroom.
Breakfast each morning was delicious and plenty with coffee, fresh bread, cakes, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, eggs/bacon, fresh fruit and juices.
The station is a good 20 min walk away (we did it in pouring rain!). There is a lovely Osteria next door to B&B - sadly we didn't reserve so couldn't sample the cuisine. We did try many local pizzaries/bars and generally the busier they are the better the food & drink. In particular if you look down small alleyways away from the main tourist route you often find perfect gems! I have to say though its been 3 years since we went to Italy and prices have crept up for food/drink. The gelatos are still Euro 1.50/2.00 so definitely worth it! The terrace bar (recommended by Chantel) by the Ponte Pietra bridge (to cross the river to the Roman theatre ruins) is idyllic for a drink. One of my favourite places to rest tired feet.

We stayed in October 2012 for three nights and I came back raving about sanzenetto. I have already recommended them to friends. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. We were also given maps as soon as we got there which was so helpful and invaluable. Breakfast was an amazing feast with fresh pastries to fresh fruit all laid out beautifully for us at a time of our choosing. The owner couldn't have been more helpful. I don't have a bad word to say

My husband and I sayed at Sanzenetto for one night last April 2012. We had a wonderful experience.
The B&B is very nicely furnished and clean.
The owners were extremely kind and helpful.
Nice food selection for breakfast (that moring we had bread freshly baked by one of the owners)
Very pleasant athmosphere.
Located in a very quiet street in the centre of Verona, nice short walk to the Arena.
Good value for money.

We recently stayed at the Sanzenetto bed and breakfast and were exceptionally happy to have found it. We were staying with another couple and had the upper rooms which were like a self contained flat. The owners were delightful and exceptional helpful and gave us a wonderful breakfast each morning. We will definitely be re-visiting on our next trip to Verona.

Wow - what a wonderful find. This B&B offers a truly wonderful experience in such a beautiful city. Our hostess Chantal and Marsha were very attentive and extremely helpful. We felt like royalty in their home. The rooms were both spacious and immaculately clean, with the most elegant of furnishings The recommendations given by our hostess for cuisine and restaurants were amazing. We shall always remember our stay here. Thank you.
