“a comfortable studio-apartement in a historic building”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2012

my wife and I stayed two nights in this residence; the place has character; it is located inside a medieval building, renovated with good taste and furnished in style (carpets, etc). It is near enough to the center of town, and we could easily walk to the ARENA for the evening performance; we got a voucher allowing us to park for free in the area; staff was friendly; I recommend it, althouch it was more expensive then the places we usually go to (130 EUR/night including breakfast, served in our room)

Room Tip: we had a room in the attic (B4), very spacious, beautiful ceiling with wooden beams and terracotta t...

This is a good clean and comfortable B/B. Maybe a bit pricy for what it is but as it is city centre you have to pay for location I suppose. A large bedroom complete with a cooker, some utensils, but NO kettle, which is what you would really need in a building that does not have any facilities for the guests, other than bedrooms.
Breakfast was served in the bedroom at the time we nominated. This did break our fast, but was not quite a "meal" but we were in Italy where we know that that is the norm, so when in Rome............ ?
The location was good, central, quiet, and well within walking distance of the main sights.

We stayed for three nights. The room was large and comfortable with a good bathroom and air conditioning. There is a kitchenette in the room with not much in the way of utensils. In fact its pretty redundant because they ask you to refrain from cooking in the room! We didn't want to as there are good restaurants close by. It is a simple bed and breakfast place and as such is quite expensive for the very limited facilities - no public rooms, etc. Breakfast is past remarkable - a croissant and small bread roll from the freezer, probably bought in bulk from Lidl or Aldi, and baked each morning is not quite the same as fresh baked bread from a bakery! As such this is a very expensive but pleasant place to stay in Verona.

Very spacious room in a good, quiet location, a short walk away from the main piazza and the arena, with small kitchen area containing a fridge/mini bar, sink, non-working hob, utensils etc. Breakfast was brought to our room at our chosen time, containing a selection from the options available. This held promise but was clearly bought on a tight budget. On arriving the welcome was poor - the gentleman clearly could not be bothered. He waved us into the room and failed to inform us that the hot water was controlled within the room via a boiler. We spent the first night without hot water and were told about the boiler from another holiday-maker. I would recommend this residence for location, size and air conditioning, but we certainly would not go back.

what a strange place. We had a room which was in reality a hotel room with the teasing of it being an apartment. Lovely bathroom and excellent air con system. There was a tray of sugar sachets in the corner, but no kettle. A kitchen worktop with drawers of utensils, pans, crockery etc and even a cooker hood....but not hob! Just a piece of worktop! We weren't looking to cook as only there 1 night but it seemed very bizarre. Only 3 channels worked on the TV and couldn't find anyone to lend us one of the locked away DVD's they have in reception. No sofa in the room, I think we lucked out on the room we were given. The view was the road on one side, which whilst only small side road had constant traffic. The other window looked onto adjoinng windows and some kind of inaccessible courtyard. Reception staff were indifferent and aloof. Breakfast was ok, arrived 15 minutes late but was acceptable. We didn't eat out as there was a huge storm and there was a pile of pizza delivery leaflets in reception. They deliver (and speak a little English also) and we had lovely - huge - pizzas delivered. Whole place had a strange atmosphere, couldn't put my finger on what it was.....reception area is palatial with marble, suits of armour etc. Cheap to stay there and a 15 minute walk into town centre. Parking was free on the street with a hotel permit given to us on arrival. Would only stay there again if had a better room - we booked because we prefer apartment style accommodation.

Room Tip: don't have B1 if you want to cook or have somewhere to sit.

First off, we paid very little for this hotel so we didn't have high expectations. But the room was amazing and huge with a kitchen - crazy. Maybe we got lucky but we wished we could of stayed longer. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the castle so not near the center of town but quiet and clean. Breakfast is delivered to your room every morning which was very handy, especially after enjoying some drinks in town. Perfect place for a few days, especially for couples.

I was so pleased with the hotel! Clean, cozy, and a wonderful location. Kitchen and bathroom were clean. The Wi Fi was a little choppy. Breakfast was delicious.

Room Tip: It you have a large group staying with you, ask for the room with the basement. big table and kitche...
