Description: The Ristorante Pizzeria Al Paradiso is located in Vicenza, in the historic center. Opened in 1980 by Emidio Tranquilli today the restaurant is lovingly run by his son Jacopo, who, from his native land, brings elements of Mediterranean cuisine, offering dining experiences capable of harmonizing the flavors and aromas of traditional Venetian and Calabria cuisine. To the supervision of staff contributes mother Aurora, meticulous and attentive to detail.

This town is not friendly with Americans. The Army base ruined the American reputation. But if you are in Vicenza make sure to dress like an Italian. Guys, don't use hats or shorts... Learn a little bit of Italian. This restaurant is great... Great service and great food.

We wanted pizza we got pizza ! The prices were cheap and we unstop why when we tasted the pizza. Too cooked, not to say burnt for one of us, we were unable to cut them as the knives were not cutting and the pizza was slipping on the plate. I am sure you can find better in Vicenza.

Location & service, a 4; food, a 2. Unless you prefer salt to any other flavor, don't eat a full meal here, but is a nice place to sit with a glass of wine, maybe a dessert. Pleasant open air area near the Duomo & Basilica, friendly staff, nice food presentation. I appreciated the calm setting, since so many city center outdoor locations are very noisy. The prosciutto e melone was exquisite, with a lovely vanilla honey to drizzle on the ham; the other appetizer & both pasta dishes were so over-salted that no other flavor came through. A bit expensive, but it would have been worth it if the cook could keep his hands off the salt.

Great food at a reasonable price and good service. Tables outside during warm-weather to spend a nice evening.
