The Hotel Christina is about a three to four block walk from the train station but there are good sidewalks on the way for pulling luggage--and it is close to the old city, with its attractions, restaurants and shopping. There is a small lift and our room was fine as was breakfast. Our main complaint would be that although it was near the end of September, we were experiencing warm weather and the air conditioning had already been turned off for the year so our room was quite warm and if we opened the windows, we heard the street noise. You might want to ask for a room on the back side. Also the first two hours of wi-fi are free for the duration of your stay but it then cost 5 Euros for each two hours--pricey in this day when it has been free in most hotels where we have stayed.

Room Tip: Depending on weather, might want a room on the back side. See review.

Wthin walking distance of the train station and the city center, modern refurbished hotel. Spotless rooms, with free minibar and generous buffet breakfast. But they charge for wifi !? Worth staying at, especially since not many hotels in Vicenza as is !

Vicenza is a small town and there are not many hotels so I was pleased with my choice.I know it has eco credentials but they were not top of my list of priorities. My room was a decent size with a
double bed ( pillows a bit lumpy),a sort of deep ,long shelf arrangement with plenty of space for working and sensibly placed sockets. There was a fridge, a safe, flatscreen TV and a good size bathroom. The breakfast was a good continental one with enough choices. There is a smart lobby where it was pleasant to relax. The staff were all very pleasant altho' there was sometimes a slight communication problem but nothing major.By the way there is a great restaurant about three minutes walk called Al vecio portego which has a great menu ,atmosphere and is very popular. If you're going on a Saturday night then book ! Vicenza is a lovely city and very walkable. The trip to the Villa Rotonda (for the Villa) is easy to make but be aware the bus does NOT run on a Saturday.Taxis however are cheap .When at the Teatro Olympico call at the Cafe Opera next to it for the most delicious warm flaky marmalade brioche with your drink.Vicenza prices are a nice change from Venetian ones.

Managed by elderly, kind and motherly ladies. But it is as if time has stopped in the 1990´s. Wifi exists but expensive. Rather poor breakfeast. Close to the railway station and walking distance to city centerOutside a busy street but double windows keeps the rooms silent.

This hotel I wouldn't recommand for a longer periode, but for one (or two overnights like myself), it was ok. The room was small and the facilities basic. The wireless internet costed me rather expensive...and the connection was not always good. Breackfast -served at the groundfloor- was ok. For working conditions it's just ok, because the cost was basic too.

Hotels were rather hard to come by in Vicenza. We got this one for 95 euros per night through vicenzabooking.com. The location was very good, a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, and about the same into the main part of town. It was on a bus route, so our front facing room was pretty noisy. The room was small, but comfortable. Breakfast was served in a pretty room with very friendly staff. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Vicenza is a beautiful place, and the day trip to Verona was great.
