The basilica, designed by the famous architect, Palladio, is beautiful. This is well worth the visit. Art exhibits are often scheduled in the basilica. Currently, there is a showing with paintings from Poussin, Van Gogh, and Monet amongst others.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2014

I spent a lot of time here - at the little bar that is labelled Spacco but is actually named something that began with a "B" (sorry i cannot remember), and I even went to a Monet exhibition inside - it was spectacular - both the exhibition and the interior of this ground breaking architectural wonder. I loved the brick vaulted ceilings and was completely enamoured by this building. As we sipped Aperol Spritzes beneath the gorgeous brick, we wondered at how amazing it was that just yesterday we were at home and today we're amidst such beauty! Definitely worth a trip to go see!

“Mostra - e art”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2014

This trip to Vicenza was wonderful, firstly this city is surrounded by beauty and the Basilica stands strong and proud in a huge piazza. It is wonderful, and it held a very quaint exhibition on modern art - with a huge influence from specific countries yet individual. Worth going to see this wonder!
