Situated in the centre of town - close to shops and restaurants. Free wifi is a major plus these days. The hotel offers free and/or cheap private parking right next to hotel. Clean rooms and public areas, good service though limited English. No TV or mod cons in room but you dont need them - my wife asked for hair dryer and got immediately. Great base for walking the city would definitely go back. You must visit the Teatro Olympico - fascinating.

This hotel is located in the heart of the old town surrounded by shops and restaurants and walking distance to all the main attractions and the staff very friendly and helpful. We drove to the hotel, which can be a little daunting, however the hotel allow you to park outside at night (limited spaces) until 10 am the next morning. They also have a garage which is only €15 per day. Our room was large, clean but basic and furnished with antiques. It had everything we needed for a 2 night stay in September. We didn't take breakfast in the hotel as there were so many coffee shops nearby and we wanted to try out different ones. We stayed in room 6 on the first floor, which has a balcony, if I had to moan about anything it would probably be that the bed was a little hard and I could have done with another pillow, however if I had bothered to have asked reception I'm sure they would have given me one ! I don't normally book 2 star properties but I was really happy with this hotel and would stay there again.

Room Tip: Room 6 is on the first floor and has a balcony. There is a shower but no bath.

The Hotel Du Mori is a little hard to find, especially driving a car for the first time in Italy, during a festival in the pouring rain. Park somewhere first, and walk to the hotel, or you'll be driving around in pedestrian only places trying to find it! The concierge will be able to give you clear directions on how to get here in a vehicle. They do have parking, but you need to have that set up ahead of time. Warning: GPS systems don't recognize the difference between a pedestrian "road" and a vehicular "road"!

Anyway, it is a little bit of a challenge to get here, but it's worth it. The rooms are nice sized, and furnished in lovely antiques. They are clean and well kept. The rooms have windows which can be opened for a look down the cobblestone streets. It is just steps from a beautiful piazza (where we unwittingly drove around during the festival...) There are several restaurants, all within walking distance (thank heavens), and lots of little shops to explore. The archetecture in and around Vicenza is beautiful, and it's far less expensive to drive an hour from Venice to this lovely area, rather than fighting the Venician crowds.

This hotel is in the heart of Vicenza, and Frommer's recommended it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the lobby and first floor is attractive. I had a single room on the second floor which was big compared to many singles I have encountered when traveling in Europe by myself. There is no a/c, and it was unusually hot. The overhead fan helped slightly. The disappointment was the breakfast for which I paid 7.50 euro extra. It consisted of a glass of juice, a coffee, and a roll or bread (no butter or jam). I expected a little more, fruit, yogurt, cereal etc. I was only staying one night and don't think I would stay there again.

Friendly staff, very good typical European breakfast with assortment of fresh pastries, coffee made personally. Loved the hotel, loved the town. Did not get to explore near enough. Great location to walk to shopping, restaurants, and train station. Was with a group tour so did not have to drive a car. The walk to our tour bus was no big deal. For those that had difficulty walking, a cab was provided. Would definitely stay there again!

A charming hotel, antiques in the rooms. Clean and cosy. Convenient location. Friendly hotel staff. I parked on the edge of town across from the main train station at the Verdi Park house for 10 Euros a day. Didn't notice my room didn't have a TV till the second evening. The free WiFi is great and much more useful than any TV would be for my purpose. I'd rather pay less and enjoy the location and the surroundings and wifi.
The room was clean, quiet and cool. I will return again and again.

Room Tip: I asked for a non smoking room.
