This is a cute little hotel, well located near the pedestrian shopping area in Bari.

We stayed in a room with a high vaulted ceiling, which felt a little like a mini-suite, as the bed was on a mezzanine level. Some care and thought had gone into the decoration, using antiques and tasteful prints. There was a nice big mirrored wardrobe and a roll top desk, for example, also a TV downstairs and a flat screen one upstairs to watch in bed! The balcony was a bonus, as my partner smokes, and we could have a good look at the local life in the street below. There was no noise at nightime.

I feel churlish making any criticisms, but would have liked a bath as well as a shower, and the stairs to the sleeping area are open and quite steep, making it unsuitable for elderly people, or those with young children. It was more like a B & B also, as the manager left the premises after checking us in, and we had breakfast in the bar next door, which was basic, just coffee and croissant. The mini bar was poorly stocked, and one of the bottles had already been opened. Do please bear in mind that I am a perfectionist!

It was pleasant to stay in a place with a little character, instead of in a blandly decorated room in a chain hotel, and the price was reasonable.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience of staying at Hotel Zodiacus. It gave me a great thrill to be in a very Italian Hotel and location. Staff were very friendly and excellent hosts.

Lovely hotel B&B completely refurbished in the centre of town centre in Bari. Air con, elevator, and nice ensuite bathrooms with shower. Discovered when looking for an nice hotel in town. It has lovely rooms with a romantic but modern decors and antique furniture. it is really in the centre of the main town and perfect for shopping and visiting. The pedestrian shopping street is 1 minute away by foot (shops are closed at lunch and on Monday morning). Breakfast (proper Italian) is in a lovely Bar next door which it is open until 10pm for lunches and also cocktails. The owners are very friendly and will give you lots of tips on where to go. They will wait for you at hotel on arrival (we telephoned them on arrival at airport) and give you the keys so you are free to go in and out. The concierge office is open until lunch time but they are always contactable on the phone. A proper Italian experience and not expensive too. Restaurants are greatin Bari : we tried La Credenze and Le travi (book in advance) in the old town and there is an English Pub opposite the Hotel for the Briton missing home. A nice pub/birreria (Medieval experience) we had dinner in is the Parsifal in Via Dante 168 only 3min away.
