Best B&B you can wish. Sergio is VERY helpful so don't be afraid you miss something or wouldn't know wher to go to. Rooms have a very nice colour tone and are perfectly clean. Breakfast is good and you have also a bit of a sea view. Back to Sergio, the greatest landlord ever. He helped us with every piece of request and the B&B has a perfect location too. About 3minutes walk from centro storico. Highest recommendations!!! If I am to mention Alghero, it is a historical place with an astonishing old town and brilliant restaurants. We staed there for 3nights and it was totally worth it.

I stayed in this B&B for three nights. It has perfect location – close to the old city (by foot 5min)for only €25 per person per night (continental breakfast included). It is just 1min.away from the main boulevard where you can find Nava Sardi (tickets to Grotta di Nettuno €14). By the way if you are not in the season you might not go there. It starts on 13th March (11:00 and 15:00; two cruises in a day).B&B is beautiful. It is run by Sergio who speaks English and is very helpful. He answers all my emails and waited till midnight for us (our arrival was around 23:30pm) so there is no problem with late check-in (very common problem on Sardinia). Rooms are lovely->very clean, flat TV sets, nice furniture. Two rooms have own en-suit bathrooms (small but nice with fresh towels), only one room has separate bathroom but it belongs only to this room so is almost en-suite. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned each day!!! Also you can have wireless Internet access free of charge!!! Sergio is very helpful. Price includes breakfast – you will get brilliant coffee (pressure coffee maker) with fresh rolls. The rest in basic: jams and honey. But you can find very nice food everywhere.
Taxis are very expensive – 22 euro from the airport to Alghero during the day and 30 euro in the night (it is only 10km!!!). I was very disappointed in relation to restaurants. Most of them do not have Italian atmosphere- interiors very basic, no music, generally you feel like in prison or hospital. The steak house is horrible. Steaks are not great and restaurant is awful. The best place we ate, is called: Ristorante Pizzeria Il Pesce D'oro
and it is the only place with smell of garlic, basil and a little bit of Italian atmosphere. Of course food is gorgeous. This place I can recommend. Avoid Nettuno restaurant- expensive and the tables, chairs, paint of the walls - horrible.
Generally if you want to go to Sardinia, plan you stay. Alghero is nice but after one day you know all town. It is worth to go to Rocca Ruja – beautiful place and colours of the water are amazing. Also a nice place is Castel Sargo with the castle on the top of the hill. Unfortunately there is nothing worth to visit in Porto Torres or Sassari – boring places.
From the food I recommend Cannonau wine- very nice. Vernacia should have almond taste but I have not felt this. Zedda Piras – Mirto di Sardegna – you need to try it, it is typical Sardinian liquier.
Generally Sardinia is very nice for max.3 nights. Then you will not find much entertainment there.
But it you go there, stay in L'Algueretta, it is nice cheap place with perfect location. I wish that some of the three stairs hotels are like this B&B.
