We stayed in a separate villa by the entry gate on a cycling tour. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location of Villa Mosca is spectacular and we enjoyed a lovely dinner on the terrace watching the sun set. The staff were very friendly and receptionist warm and helpful. I would definitely return to this hotel.

I stayed for 2 nights absolutely fantastic location, very helpful friendly staff, great service. I was there for a birthday dinner which we had in the Villa gardens. Great food, great staff and an amazing view. Absolutely recommend Villa Mosca for your next stay in Alghero.

My friends and I stayed at the Villa Mosca over last weekend and wow it was utterly amazing. The accommodation was charming we had a lovely villa in the stunning gardens. I asked Andrea (F & B Manager) to arrange a birthday dinner for 16 people on the terrace and it was magnificent.. worthy of a Michelin Star restaurant. This delightful property is owned by the leading wine estate in Sardinia – Sella and Mosca so we thought it appropriate to start the evening with a wine tasting – fabulous Vermentino and Cannonau. Every member of staff went the extra mile to make our stay and the whole occasion outstanding so to Andrea, Morris the Chef and Alessandra our waitress you are all stars. A huge thank you and we will all be back!

Room Tip: Only 9 rooms in the main villa and they are all very different only one or two with a balcony and fu...

Dear guests,

we are very happy that we could fully satisfy your expectations and having successfully offered a suitable service for the event you decided to take here.
Just one punctualization: Villa Mosca doesn’t belong to the very same company of the wine cellars named Sella & Mosca; Villa Mosca was designed by the advocate Edgardo Mosca, who was a co-founder of the Villa & Mosca wine company. He is also the very first owner of the Villa, which was at the time his own private residencial place.

In the hope of having you again as our appreciated guests we take the occasion to renovate our most heartfelt regards.

The staff here will try anything for you really helpful and personable. Nice views from the vantage point by the sea and our room was nicely done. Needed the Aircon to keep it fresh as it was a top floor room in the roof. Needed a babysitter and while they don't normally organise this for guests they mananged to find someone for us on all nights which was great.

A friend had healthproblems and we were helped and supported and advised ro the best. Ghank you so much Silvana!!!!
I always hesitate to have dinner in the same place I stay... what a mistake that would have been this time!!!!! The restaurant is absolutely stunning!!!! The dishes we got served were so good we decided to have our final dinner again in Villa Mosca, simply because we knew, we would eat nowwhere better!!!!!

We spent three nights at Villa Mosca choosing it as our main destination during our 9 nights in Sardegna including our Wedding Anniversary. We were warmly welcomed by Silvana who wished us a happy anniversary and showed us to our room "Giuseppe Garibaldi", on the first floor up a wide, sweeping marble staircase. A nice touch was a bottle of white wine, chilling in an ice bucket and two glasses to help us celebrate our anniversary - a lovely surprise and much appreciated!

The room was very stylish and contemporary without losing the integrity of the old bones of the building (which is an interesting octogon shape and built in the 1900's). The bedroom was a good size with a desk and 3 windows, one of which led to the balcony - chiefly for the use of the room next door but we did have one small corner. The bathroom was cleverly concealed through a door covered in the same material as that behind the bed. Due to the shape of the building and a set of stairs leading to the second floor behind our room, the area was an odd shape being long and narrow with the shower tucked in behind the bed and down a short passage. Once again it was very stylish with its black porcelain sanitary ware (not the shower base which was traditional white) but we felt sorry for the maid having to polish it all because every drip of water (due to the calcium content) left marks! We were provided with two complimentary pairs of disposable (but reasonable quality) slippers and a bathrobe each for use during our stay and beach towels were also provided. The wardrobe was fantastic with its numerous shelves, good sized hanging area and safe. A desk, chair and minibar, flat screen television (with a plethora of channels) as well as two armchairs completed the room. All in all, outstanding and very much up to expectations.

The only negatives about our stay were the noise echoing up the marble-filled atrium (to be expected and no fault of Villa Mosca but rather that of other guests who did not consider lowering their voices at night) and the rather lack-lustre breakfast which was uninspiring and offered very little choice and indifferent quality.

The views over Alghero, the sea and the hotel's lovely gardens are beautiful and one really feels privileged to have such gorgeous surroundings. Villa Mosca is in a terrific location just a short 5 minute walk to Alghero's centro storico (historic centre) and 10 minutes to the Port.

Whilst visiting Alghero, be sure not to miss a boat trip out to the Grotta Nettuno (Neptune's Cave) - a wonderful trip to a truly spectacular cave (if you're feeling super fit you can drive the 20 minutes to Capo Caccia and walk down some 650 steps to the cave but don't forget the 650 odd stairs back up!). Another worthy attraction is a visit to the beautiful Duomo (currently undergoing restoration work but we have seen it without scaffolding and it is very special), the museum attached to the church and if you are once again feeling fit, take the tour up the bell tower - the view of Alghero from the top is wonderful.

Villa Mosca is a delightful place to base oneself for a stay in the lovely town of Alghero and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. A special thank you goes to Silvana from Reception, who gave us a wonderful tip on a scenic circuit around Bosa, Montresta, Padria, Monteleone and Villanova - absolutely fantastic on the motorcycle!

Room Tip: If you struggle with stairs, choose one of the rooms set in the gardens rather than in the main buil...

This beautiful, clean and tidy villa with extravagant interior decoration is a great place to stay in a great town. The villa is located within walking distance to the old town of Alghero and some of the best restaurants in town and just a stone's throw away from the promenade, which invites to linger.
The welcome was very warm, the staff is very friendly, the service was very good and the room with sea view was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good and the terrace with the lounge chairs is beautifully located on the west side of the premises with a great view over the coast and the sea. The first night we were the only guests but the second night we were clearly not as we could perfectly hear our neighbors flashing the toilet which was obviously just attached to the wall of our bed so that we had the impression to sleep in the middle of a waterfall. That's the only flaw of the place.

Room Tip: Superior room with sea view is great and worth the extra dollar.

Dear Ms. Rita,

we heartly thank you for the splendid review you wrote; we’re happy you appreciated our staff’s cordiality and gentleness: to put the customer in ease and comfort so to make him/her feel like home is one of our best priorities.
The problem indicated by you is a modest which is needed to cope with, because the Villa is a historical mansion over a hundred years old, protected by the supervising authorities for the Fine Arts and considered national monument.

Hoping to have you again as our guest we give you our most heartfelt regards.
