I love our stay. We where on a birthday family trip. Lovely lovely beach. Excellent for children. However we payed to much for the hotel water activities. We had some activities on the room bill and some we payed in cash. However they charges us double and also made us pay for the ones we had already paid for...which was quite bad and not to professionel!
The food: breakfast buffet was fine. Lots of fruit and fresh made cappuccino etc. Evening they had a fine starter buffet..the rest was a bit more boring. And a bit over priced. Also they lack a childrens menu! You have to ask for smaller portions.
The staff where friendly
The room: I only missed the coffee/ tea making facilities.
However...the double rooms looked small and are a bit expensive. The hotel is a bit expensive...

Room Tip: Do choose the sea view. It is amazing.

Sea Viiew is great with a so so private beach.Other than these,nothing special.I stayed ,so far,4 hotels in Sardegnia.My generic imression on Sardegnia Hotels are;
-Expensive (unreasonably)
-Old without required renovations
-Small Rooms
But as Sea Water is so clean and beaches are so nice, people come back to this island.
If this island would like to develop further, they need to seriously consider "How they could improve the quality of the hotels/Transportation System in the island etc"

Room Tip: Room with Seaview

When booking, please be aware that there is not much else in the vicinity of this hotel except for pine forest. Your meals will need to be had at the hotel unless you hire a car and drive into town. Compared to other hotels in the area, this hotel is ok and hence they class themselves as a 4 star. However, if you book expecting it to be a true 4 star with a luxurious feel to it then you will surely be disappointed. I would suggest you don't book in for a standard room as you will be horrified at the size of the room and how basic it is. I booked a standard twin room at nearly £200 per night and was horrified at the kind of room we were given. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone to expedia to try get a decent room arranged. Beware that the hotel will ask you for a minimum of £50 extra per night if you ask for a room change. The £200 a night is way more than I would be prepared to pay for the room we ended up with - i would pay £80 for a room like that. The hotel staff are friendly but not really helpful. The swimming pool is pretty small and conveniently located near a rickety metal bridge and fire exit stairs - not particularly pretty to look at! I would also like to point out that this is not a true all inclusive like on a resort - you will only get your 3 meals - nothing extra. Overall, pretty disappointing and the reviews are misleading. Beware!!!

Dei Pini has the most perfect location on a beautiful beach with very fine sand. You have your own ombrella and sunbed during your stay. Quiet, no traffic, but local bus to Alghero and its nice old town only 100m from the gate. Good food in the restaurant as well as the beach bar, best melon&Parma ham ever! Comfortable beds and nice, big terrace with fantastic ocean view. Beautiful surroundings with Capo Caccia etc. Perfect service from the staff. However:
Rather expensive in high season. Long trousers for men for dinner seems unnecessarily strict on a beach hotel. Lack of moscito net/windows, they do come in at night.

Room Tip: You should ask for a room on the 2nd floor with ocean view and big terrace, but you pay for it.

We stayed here one week with baby and 2,5 year old. The hotel has a great view, Nice Beach and great pool. Though the hotel is a bit further from alghero than expected. No alternative restaurants close by with small kids. The rooms are Nice and clean, but not new. We stayed at ground level- Beach access family room, which was great with the kids.
Staff was very serviceminded in the restaurant and friendly to the kids.
We had Half board and enjoyed great food every evening.

Reception not that service minded or competent though: they made a dissapointing error by charging our credit card 2 times( bank 3rd time) and it took Them 11 days to return the money. Furthermore they Would not Call metered taxi despite that is what we requested but called a luxurious one.
Overall had a great stay not considering the reception 'service'.

We just returned from a week's holiday. It was wonderful - this is our second visit and we chose to spend our honeymoon here. The staff were welcoming and a bottle of champagne was in our room upon arrival, thank you! It is a quiet time of year and we almost had the beach to ourselves. The food was delicious and the chef catered especially for our vegetarian needs. The lovely staff on reception also let us check out late as our flight wasn't until the evening - The setting is stunning and we'll be returning - thanks to all for making our stay just perfect (except it could have been longer!!)

Room Tip: Sea view room is a must!
